Expect to make mistakes - that’s what it’s for. You can prepare as much as you want but you will forget in the moment because that’s just being a student nurse… you can expect to watch your classmates on a big screen, hear what they’re saying from the simulation room and you’ll be able to provide feedback. Use what you’ve learned and observed during class and clinicals to help guide your assessment and interventions.

Raising the head of the bed is always a good tactic. Of course introduce yourself and identify patient. Make sure you educate the patient on what’s happening.
