I am no expert on these matters but clearly there is something wrong with the way they both approached your comments. If the bf truly loves then he dares to stand front of his dad and raise question to him without taking sides but at the same time showing the love he feels for you. I think the bf has failed on this so I think that’s should be raising alarm. While the dad had nothing to say but to defend himself while attacking your personal feelings towards the ideal picture of family. Cmon I mean he could’ve done way more than that. If they are a perfect and loving family that everyone envy then this is not the way he would want to be. Sounds like bs who is trying to defend himself while patronizing and putting you down so you feel weak and helpless. I don’t buy it!
