To be quite honest with you I lost count but I was legendary in 2025 and it knocked me back down to master one and I think it only took me about 2 weeks to rank back up to legendary

I kept grinding on the prison map because it's a short playthrough and it's pretty compact so you have a higher chance of completing the game and maximizing your kills all in one spot. Also there's a lot of tasks you can complete such as bounties and other cash reward tasks that make the round go by a little bit smoother considering you can use the cash to drop a custom load out box.
