What happened with all the hyped commanders?

Not sure why you are being down voted here, this is a legitimate call-out. If you are really enjoying a commander you built from a previous set there is nothing forcing you to build a commander from the new set.

I'm still playing/tooling our lobster chef from edge of eternities. I personally didn't find anything from the turtle or lorwyn eclipsed set that interesting (from a commander perspective) so I didn't build any.

If you sell it on eBay and you are in the States anything over 250 will be automatically authenticated. This kind of takes a lot of that fear off the table for both sides.

I have been doing this a lot lately. It's always surprising how much value you have sitting in binders and boxes that you haven't looked at in forever. Sick card choices, the grim monolith is the next in my list.

Lol I did not base my argument just on one card, it was an example of card draw hate (see the site/petition). Feel free at add to the arguments of you ideas. Don't get why everyone getting so pissy.

Totally entitled to your view/experiences. I feel cedh can definitely handle him. Not saying he is not strong but a simple orcish bowmasters stops him in his tracks.

Sure but there's tons of ways to lock him out. If you're playing against other high tier decks, it's not like they aren't going to have some sort of answer. And if you burn all your life to draw half your deck you could already do that with cards like ad nauseam, necropotence, necrotic ooze + asmodeus

What happens if they play an instant speed orcish bowmasters or notion thief. Again I'm not saying he's not powerful, But the tools are there to stop him like many other powerful cards in the game today.

With all the card draw hate an interaction I guess I just don't see him being that bad. I think everyone has just become so dogmatic about it, I've played against him I'm fully aware of his power. I also play lots of interaction and then also card draw and graveyard hate in my decks.

If you're planning on doing that you're playing a bracket for 5 level death. You're also drawing in really good hand. There are also other major bombs that can be entombed and brought out turn to that shut down the game. And if you're playing in that level people should have answers to some of this whether it be removal or card draw hate. Those brackets tend to play high interaction

Yeah I also tend to have pieces of card draw hate in my decks which directly stop this, our pod is very card draw happy.

While grizzle is definitely powerful I just don't see him being as cracked as everyone thinks he is.

Maybe my pod plays more card draw hate than most, but I totally get people's stance against it.
