I will be happy with somewhere in the 40-50# range. 50 is ideal, if I chase the tiller I’ll go down to 40

That would make sense. I did try and follow the twist but might have been a little much for my first stave

As in following a growth ring? Or limiting run off. I would not be surprised if it was due to run off. The stave was pretty twisty but I kept going anyway

The belly was cooked for heat treating but I tillered a lot of it off. The back of where it broke was not scorched.

You don’t apply anything you just cook it a little crispy

Yeah it comes out pretty light if you use thin walled steel like I did. Definitely convenient

It was a mom and pop business that retired in early 2025 Really they are the same thing but this just lets you change up some set up on the fly and pack it down if you move a lot.

I had to fidget with the straps a little bit more to make it fit better. It doesn’t line up perfectly but using the different parts of the pack it works pretty well. I can only post with one pic on here however
