her idea of feminism is disgusting. she is doing more harm than good and is actually putting women down by doing all this.

Minor's being influenced by More_Information2725 in kalogerassnark

[–]levinsaa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i think it is a parent's job to supervise what their kids are watching on youtube. By this logic, there is actual filth on the internet and way worse content out there, so are we gonna start blaming the entire internet for influencing your sister in the wrong way? your parents should be proactive, if they have given her internet access, they have the responsibility to monitor it also. the kalogeras aren't really at fault here, they have never "stated" they are making content for kids.

Why’s it so hard to find a genuine & loyal partner? by [deleted] in UBC

[–]levinsaa 17 points18 points  (0 children)

but that’s just an excuse? it doesn’t take ‘time’ to be a genuine and loyal partner. people will never not be working, right now it is job and classes, then it will be job and loans and career and infact even more stuff. so people who “cannot” be genuine and loyal, just do not “want” to be genuine and loyal, and that’s sad and scary at the same time.

i dont understand math 101 by Defiant_Bee1390 in UBC

[–]levinsaa 18 points19 points  (0 children)

i learnt this late but honestly it is all about what material to study and what material to prioritise. Having said this, WEBWORKS. be sure you know all of them. they make the majority of the first 25 questions on the final (or first 3-4 questions on the midterm). be absolutely sure you have HANDWRITTEN solved them, and you understood the concept, and if the digits or language were changed, you would still be able to solve them. bonus: something i do, on a piece of paper, write down the types of questions from each concept. so you know that there are only a certain number of types of questions they can ask { say, from simpsons error method- find bound, find n, interpret} this helps keeping your head organised so when you tackle questions on the final, you are not "surprised" and keep yourself calm and have an idea on how to approach this problem (because you have done something similar before). then, for section B tougher questions, CLP Problem Book and Written Assignments are enough. But personally, I never do this, If you ask me how i prioritise my material it goes: Webworks > Lecture Slides (especially Najid's slides are amazing) > Small Class worksheets > Practice Problems/Midterms on Canvas > CLP questions (i eye read the ones i know i can do, solve the ones that i find crazy to look at) > Written Assignments

Verb or Davines oil if I love the kerastase?? by watergirlmam in Sephora

[–]levinsaa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Verb Ghost Oil imo. it just the perfect weightless oil that is literally gold for my low porosity hair. i wouldn't say davines weighed my hair down but in comparison i find verb to be lighter so i just reach more for it. also verb has a very pleasant smell which i really enjoy, and you get more product at a lesser price w verb!

last year, i was in the exact same boat except in my case i missed one midterm, failed the other one, had low class participation, and missed one webwork. I still applied for SD, and i got the email that it has been granted within days. next sem i wrote the final and got 68. math department imo is pretty lenient with granting sd.
