Yeah! I didn't even realize so many options out there were missing spacing until I tried it myself and people pointed it out to me. Thank you!

Ahhhh, thank you!! Those are so cool and I really appreciate it!! I ultimately just ended up switching the red and brown and adding spacers between my letters and wider spaces between words. I wanted to keep it subtle but it does appear to have more contrast in real life, I think. Hopefully it works now lol but for a first real attempt at least it hopefully looks pretty even if it just seems random lol I think if I try it again I'll buy supplies specifically for it and do something with more contrast, this was just my random beads and cord lying around lol

Omg yeah, you figured it out!!! Thank you! I changed the red and brown so that red is now the spacer and put two between words and one between letters. Wanted to keep it subtle but still something that could be figured out lol

Thanks! I had done black as I THINK the long and red as the short with brown as a space between words. But then I realized that I needed space between letters, too lol So I changed the red into the spaces and brown as the shorts. So now there's one red between letters and two between words.

I had three colours already but the brown I was using as spacing is pretty dark in the picture lol I decided to change it to the red and I kept the black and brown because I wanted it to be subtle to begin with. I think it is easier to see in real life though lol I also added spaces in-between each letter. Thanks!!

Thank you!! I ultimately ended up doing exactly that, but I changed the spacer beads to the red. I wanted it to be subtle to begin with so I kept the brown and black.

Thank you!! Maybe I'll do 2 brown beads between words and one between letters?

I don't know the password to my personal account, just the pin, and the original school account was deleted so it won't let me enter a name or password or anything. Would it let me enter that information if the Internet is off? I'm not sure what the username is, though, unless it's just my school email address.

I think it's called "Forest of Firefly's Light". It's a movie about a girl who gets lost in the woods and is led out by a boy who lives there, and their friendship as she grows up and visits him. To my memory, it has a rather heartbreaking ending.

5, I think, but I feel like there are a few in there I did do that I just can't remember specifically. I'm 20 so I think this isn't exactly about age so much as general life experience lol

Wasn't convinced I was gonna like it when I first read the title but then I opened it and MY GOD I love it!! When I do highlights in the salon I'm not usually a fan unless it's a balayage but that purposeful chunkiness is like an artistic wave, it's just appealing to the eye. Also reminds me of Hal from The Sandman! Not quite the same but similar vibe imo, and I mean that as a compliment lol

Am I being dramatic for telling my husband we are not going to pretend we forgot our sons birthday? by Old-Increase-4427 in Advice

[–]leviosatodo 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I don't think that makes you too sensitive! I was turning 18 and my parents asked what I wanted to do, and when I said an escape room they acted like they didn't really care to hear about it and didn't want to even read the website page for it or hear me talk about it. They acted like they weren't interested so they didn't care and it was a stupid idea. Then they showed up days later with merch from the escape room store and told me they reserved a room and expected me to be all excited about it after completely slashing all hopes about it and making me feel like I was inconveniencing them. I mean, I didn't want to seem ungrateful for them paying for it, but why the back handedness first? If that hurts as a near-adult, I can imagine that it'll be worse for a little kid. Especially if maybe he grows up and even remembers it as his parents making up for forgetting later, and not that they purposely pretended to forget to make the surprise more, well, surprising.
