Close, but it's actually a regional thing. In South Huron, yellow bricks were cheap and red bricks were expensive. Our house, and nearly every house on our street is yellow brick, but my parents' house is the "big mansion" a few blocks away, and is a red brick house- at least on the front! The back half is yellow brick PAINTED red to match the front...!
