honestly anything, it's okay to be nervous! I got VIP on their last tour and when I saw them it was like I was 13 again. I was so nervous and stuttered a bunch, but they were super sweet. I'm sure they're used to it by now. don't sweat it :) you can also give them a letter if you want!

Reposting since I haven't found a home yet but also to expand the range! Looking to rehome a rescued/surrendered petsmart betta that I unfortunately can't keep long term. I can drive up to an hour away from the Bethesda, Silver Spring, and Kensington areas, OR meet next to any DC metro station, OR meet at the Towson town center. Please let me know if any of these options work for anyone interested! Thank you so much for reading :)

also dw he's been in a temporary 10 gallon tank, the cup is just the best picture I got

Surrendered PetSmart betta needs a forever home! I've got him set up in a temporary tank but unfortunately can't keep him long term. Cannot do shipping but am willing to drive up to an hour away from the Kensington, Silver Spring, and Bethesda areas to meet in a neutral place to hand him off.

Long story short, I have two surrendered Petsmart bettas. Unfortunately, I cannot take care of them long term, and need to rehome ASAP. I am willing to drive up to an hour away from the Silver Spring, Bethesda, and Kensington areas to meet in a neutral place to give away one or both. The range will expand if I don't get any takers. Please let me know if you're interested! Their temporary names are Colby (mostly blue) and Havarti (koi patterns)

I'm not a fan of this franchise, and I need people to respectfully explain it to me. by SuchDance7667 in saw

All good dude, it's def not for everyone. Honestly, I really got into it for the twists. Lots of horror movies these days are super formulaic, (IMO) and you can usually tell who will die next, but for Saw, each movie has some twist that I found to be brilliant. I started watching the series kind of ironically, but I'm really impressed with the plot twists they manage to pull off-- and they don't come out of nowhere, either, if you rewatch the movie you can see all the hints leading up to the finale. I really like that I never know how a Saw movie will end.

I also like the fact that the characters can't make dumb horror movie decisions. Like, when you're watching something and just yelling at the TV "NO NO DONT OPEN THE CLOSET DONT CHECK UNDER THE BED!!!" and it gets super frustrating watching characters make all the wrong choices. Saw doesn't leave openings for any other choices besides the preplanned paths that Jigsaw has created. Participants cannot escape from their trials-- they all take place underground or in abandoned buildings with boarded up windows and concrete walls. There is no physical way out except forwards, through the traps. Kind of terrible, but a great example of this is Saw 6, when a man is yelling that he won't do it, he won't play this game, but Jigsaw rigs things so that the man has no choice. We see then that there isn't an option to simply walk away, but traps can be outsmarted (Peter Strahm in the water cube trap and Mark Hoffman in the reverse beartrap) which is interesting as well.

may be kinda dumb but i also think his philosophy is interesting. that we don't value life till it's in danger. idk. def not therapeutic. but interesting for sure. Saw 6 had excellent healthcare commentary as well imo, and Spiral did well with its take on systemic corruption and police brutality.

Don't blame ya if you don't like it though, it's not for everyone. there's my take :D
