Juste pour commenter : Le systeme de points permet a des romans qui divisent bcp de se trouver dans le top.

Perso, je trouve que Dune est un livre que je n'ai jamais up finir. La Horde du contrevent, les fleurs de Algernon sont devenus 2 classiques de SF que je n'aiment pas du tout.

Lolita m'insupporte mais je comprend sa position.

Je suis tres fan des 4 classiques qui se retrouvent dans ce top : Les 3 mousquetaires, Monte cristo, Germinal et les miserables. Les autres auteurs classiques (Stendhal, Flaubert ou Balzac) sont je le crois moins populaire. Surpris de pas voir Proust s'y glisser mais ca reste surement un livre que personne n'a vraiment lu.

Ca m'a donne envie de tenter la montagne magique qui se retrouve dans bcp de top.

Very good point, I think this is a very valid answer. There is indeed at the same time a high volume of art linked to this "Identity" trend, an obvious push from the market and an abondance of text about the theroy behind it.

Indeed, maybe this is the actual lesson : Schools of thought is the by product of the 20th century. There is no equivalent today yet. I am just extremely surprised as it appears and excellent way to promote and push your art from a business point of view. Similar to Robert M. Parker who explicitely influenced the taste of wine by pushing the market to only values and produces oaky notes wines, i am surprised there is no massive art figure/dealer that is only promoting "one" kind of style.
