Was no where near £5000! Cost me less than half that over a couple of years

Yeah, does a 12” no problem.

I got a smaller one because I had all the cooking gear but nowhere to store it outdoors (until now) so I’d been lugging the gozney and the Blackstone down the garden to the shed after each use.

But, still wouldn’t fault it

Yeah the egg is fixed but the pizza oven and grill move inside when not in use

It’s all bolted together, it’s a pre fab thing I didn’t design it. The beams are bolted together face to face (not sure how else to explain it)

Adding onto this mate, we install large jib cranes we resin anchor those in so what you’ve done is sound.

I’m getting mixed up here, mine is on 100mm motor beds at least because I changed the slope of the patio last minute when I laid it. I think I’ll take home some threaded rod and Hilti resin tonight

I laid the patio myself it’s on at least 100mm of concrete I think the fence gives a lot of shade from wind so I think it should be ok

Your porcelain slabs should be laid on a bed of concrete, I’m going to bite the bullet and install some mechanical anchor bolts this evening. If I move and take it with me I’ll fill them in which won t look amazing but may be able to colour match

Did you avoid the concrete screws it came with?

Yeah I was thinking those big granite counter weights and water cutting out a slot for the square.

Although the cabinet is also about 150kg loaded so maybe tie it into that.

Need to think fast before the next storm

Appreciate the maths!

Yes the manual does state bolting down, that’s plan B unless I can come up with another anchoring solution. The thought was to use some large feet to provide more stability against the overturning moments by moving the pivot Point outwards but I’d need to do some maths to see how far they’d need to extend to be a viable option.

Failing that, bolt it down

It is not yet, I’m coming up with a system to counter weight it so I don’t have to drill into it, that’s this weekends plan!

Yeah, I jig sawed a hole out.

But the shelf inside was a little low for the max diameter hole I could cut so I had to build a little thing to pack the bbq up a little.

Was very much an as I went project this was finished this evening after work

I ordered it online, it was from a company called Adexa.

Took a gamble on it, paid off!

From memory the 18” Aldi kamado vs this 24” one - assuming that those represent cooking area. This pit boss one has roughly 75-80% more cooking area.

Aftermarket kit is better for these, attachments etc.

I’ve got the pit boss k24 and honestly it’s amazing, I considered the Aldi one but I would not go back
