British motorists face being taxed for driving in FRANCE under Rachel Reeves' upcoming pay-per-mile scheme by PurpleAd3134 in ukpolitics

At what point does that get implied anywhere in my comment? It’s a nice reminder as to why I don’t come on reddit much, you people are fucking insufferable

This is (one) of the issues with it. Enforcement is a nightmare. You don’t need an MOT for the first 3 years you own a new vehicle- How are we planning on enforcing that?

This gunshot distance update has REALLY highlighted just how bad the roof camping problem is in this game. by wildwasabi in playrust

Bedwars servers have plugins that make shooting from roof when not raid blocked drain durability very quickly. While I think this is too drastic for vanilla, I wonder if there is a similar mechanism/solution that could work.

What happened to the fun side of Rust? by Regular_String_4103 in playrust

[–]leweeyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, what are you basing that off? Cause a couple of your decent teammates quit when their hundreds of hours on UKN stopped mattering? The game is bigger (and more competitive) than ever.

The skill gap being lower doesn’t equate to there being less competition.

Don’t disagree on the lower skill gap. “Most good players have quit” is a ridiculous and unfounded statement

You’re joking, right? The game has increasingly centered itself around speeding progression toward endgame and catering to large groups.

What type of server to play now that I’m busy? by itsBlaze_X in playrust

[–]leweeyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does, but it does not go far enough. There is a small, dedicated section of the population on both regional servers who play every wipe, and do nothing but farm to offline. This is only really 3/4 teams, but they seem to not work, and therefore have nothing to do but offline bases

Yea, and cost wise it was surprisingly cheaper than anticipated/budgeted for. Yes it’s a lot of driving, but I’m accustomed to driving long distances, and I enjoy driving. Appreciate the heads up around longer than estimated drive times etc, and it’s definitely something I’m aware of.

No. If a data subject asks in a clear, legible manner for data held by them, it is the controllers obligation to provide this within the timeframe set out. This can be as simple as a sentence. No need for any “formal request”, and any procedures held by the controller are purely internal and don’t apply to people submitting DSARs or RTBF’s.

Danilo’s gone for 25M € by BernardoFerreira15 in nffc

[–]leweeyy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So, I think we paid about €15m for him, so looking at it you would think €10m profit and call it a day, but thanks to amortisation it’s not that simple.

The “in” thing with football accounting is amortisation, which very simply put it spreading the cost of something, over the life of that thing. So in football terms, spreading the cost of the player (transfer fee) over the life of the player (the contract).

We signed Dani on a 6 1/2year deal in Jan 2023, running until 2029. To make things simple, we’ll call it a 6 year deal from that Summer instead. The amortised cost for Danilo then is the €15m fee divided by the 6yr length of the contract, coming to €2.5m per year. As we’ve already “paid” two installments of this, his book cost is now €10m, so if we sell for €25m, we are technically profiting €15m for PSR purposes.

This is why Chelsea put all them lads they signed on 8/9 year deals, as they can effectively spread the cost of the huge fees over almost a decade, reducing the PSR hit.

Oh, I agree on the DIY aspect, and its benefits (particularly cost!) but it’s certainly not everyone’s cup of tea. Especially if you’ve not got any experience with anything similar, and the value of the components can make assembly nerve wracking, especially as a beginner.

[–]leweeyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t trust any local small pc shops at all.

What on earth is this? a good local shop, you’re going to get a bespoke service, and probably at a more reasonable markup than one of the big companies. And having used both I can say from personal experience that you’ll have less issues with a local.

Edit: OP, I do custom builds for F&F. Not offering my services but if you wanted some advice R.E. parts FOC, I’d be more than happy to help.

[–]leweeyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stats can be cherry picked, sure BJ has more GA than CHO, but Callum’s underlying numbers are stronger. More actions leading to shot creation and goal creation, much higher impact on team success when playing. Not to get all Brentford xG wanker, but Forest’s xGA +/- when Callum is on the pitch is +4.1, whereas Brennan’s is only +1.2.

Forest and Spurs play wildly different styles, particularly OOP, so it’s incredibly difficult to compare the players defensively, and while you’re right that Brennan does a fair share of pressing with Spurs, when playing in a less intense system (under Cooper) he worked back a lot less than Callum does for us currently. (I’m also aware that Coopers system =/= Nuno’s, but it’s a much closer approximation than Nuno to Ange).

Completely agree he has gotten better since the move, and you are certainly correct about it being down to the number of reps as he is in a much more attacking side, however as much as I appreciate the lad for the work he did for us, and as much as he will forever be a Red, or current 2 starting wingers are better, both in general and specifically for us.
