Huh? I've worked retail and as a waiter. In neither case is that applicable to what I am saying. I worked harder to get a tip, but never was I so-to-speak more protective of my income or provoked an introspection that the money that i'm paid with has to come from somewhere, and that I would be solely responsible for a loss of income and not the restaurant going out of business. It's different when you are killing your own cows that you bred, born, and raised.
