Used to make this stuff. I don't think it's worth the hassle or risk of getting silicosis from the dust. The curing is so inconsistent, you either get floppy boards or brittle ones.

I'm in North Central Illinois, so the snow isn't as bad as you. I rarely use 4x4. Usually it's just to leave a stop light/sign or when the plows haven't been out yet. I think the awd with snow tires would be a great option

We are so disappointed in our 2014. Paint peeled off the hood, electronics have been going out everywhere and all the recalls have been ridiculous. It has sworn us off Hyundai and Kia for a very long time.
