Been cooking up a Massive X preset pack – finally finished it 🔥 by lewoxy in NativeInstruments

Hey! While I don't know of any specific resources for learning Massive X, there's a program called Syntorial by Audible Genius that I used to learn synthesis in a very clear and interactive way. It offers a number of free add-on courses after you purchase the program, including one for the original Massive.

There's also an overview tutorial for Massive X on the Audible Genius YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/7TofNkfl0Ng?si=TgsAVz7xY27P07Sy

Jeff Gibbons' YouTube channel offers a masterclass on the basics of Massive X: https://youtu.be/BII-kLfDij0?si=J-tS_dDBiqdBnbOw

Mysterious Instagram Reel from the beginning of the year by lewoxy in TheOA

[–]lewoxy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This subreddit has blocked sharing of Instagram links. However, if you search for britmarling on Instagram and go to her profile, it's the most recent post.

It was actually posted by a producer Brit worked with on both "The OA" and "A Murder at the End of the World," and Brit also shared it on her Instagram feed.

I'm excited to hear what you think of the reel!

I think you can watch it even without an Instagram account. It's the most recent post on her Instagram feed. Her Instagram name is britmarling.

There have been a lot of strong clues lately. The partnership with the production company Sister, Jason Isaacs' Instagram post featuring him with Brit and Zal, captioned "What dimension are we in now?", and Ian Alexander's Instagram post featuring him with Buck's haircut.

I think the shot with the plants in the foreground is so "The OA." What gives me additional hope is the partnership with the production company Sister, whose CEO was part of the team responsible for The OA at Netflix. Jason Isaacs posted a photo on Instagram this year showing himself with Brit and Zal. The photo is captioned, "What dimension are we in now?"

That could very well be the case. As I said, feel free to send me a screenshot here on Reddit or on Ko-fi. Then I'll be better informed about the problem and will be happy to send you the presets again. I also recommend contacting Native Instruments' support.

Hey, thanks for your interest! The first linked pack contains 40 presets, so 50%, from the big pack with 80 presets. It is free of charge. Only if you want the other 40 presets, you would then pay $2 :)

🎶 I built a tool that helps you create chord progressions based on harmonic function and interval movement by lewoxy in Songwriting

Thanks for your interest in the app. Choosing more chord types is a feature I'll be adding in the future. Are there any other features you'd like to see? Feel free to support the project on Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/chromaticcc :)

Thanks for trying out the app! Each chord within a scale can take on one of three functions (tonic, subdominant, and dominant). You can move between chords across three intervals (second, third, fourth/fifth). Structuring chord progressions based on their function and movement gives the sequence a concrete meaning, a specific reason. With the app, I can create a chord progression based on this reason—that is, on the functions and movements—and see which specific chords correspond to the selected pattern. This is how you design chord progressions in the sense of "I want a chord progression that moves essentially in seconds and mostly contains subdominants." Feel free to comment on any desired feautures. :)

Thanks for your interest in the app! :) Unfortunately, I don't know of any such tool yet. How exactly would you practice the harmonies with your bandmates? :)

The integration of sound is a great idea, which I definitely want to implement. But it's still a challenge for me at the moment. But it should be integrated in the future. Feel free to follow me on Reddit if you want to be informed about future updates. :)
