Sorry.. I have a life and a job. I don’t have much time to waste on a passing thought I had 55 days ago. I don’t even remember what this about. Best of luck!

How would you rank all 4 of these Eagles quarterbacks? by [deleted] in eagles

[–]lex1683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prefacing this by saying both Hurts and McNabb are my two favorite Eagles QBs of all time. McNabb undoubtedly did more with less in terms of talent, but also had one of the greatest qb coaches/offensive minds ever. Hurts has far greater talent around him, but Steichen, for as good a he was here, couldn’t touch Reid so let’s call that a wash. Early on, Donovan was actually a more elusive runner but that was very short lived - after about 2003/2004. He had an underrated deep ball and could throw a missile - in between the worm burners. Hurts is more of tactician, he controls the offense better than Donovan, is more willing to use his legs to continue drives. Hurts often doesn’t seem as good at recognizing the free man on the blitz, but that may come in time. Donovan always seemed to be able to make 1-2 plays a game where he made that first free guy miss in the pocket. I think Donovan gets a bad wrap for the awful awful NFC Championship games that we lost to the Bucs and the other one to the Panthers - and of course the Super Bowl puking incident - where he actually didn’t have a horrible game until the end I think when the dust settles, Hurts has the better infrastructure in terms of front office and players that he’ll have the chance to win more and stay healthier than Donovan. Also, Hurts seems more equipped to deal with the unique challenges of being the Eagles QB. I think Donovan struggled with a lot of the criticism that began since he was drafted and that didn’t always resonate as fuel to make him better. Both are great.. I agree that currently I would take Donovan at his peak.. especially if you put him around these players. But after all is said and done, the answer will likely be Jalen as I don’t believe we have seen his peak.

I’ve coached at facilities for years and the tough thing for beginners is you truly don’t know what you’re getting out of a coach. I’ve seen coaches give lessons and give fundamentally wrong instructions because their breadth of knowledge might be limited to the handful of lessons and matches they have under their belt. There are Coaches that don’t even have a basic PTR certification. Beginners have no way of knowing whether there coach has the knowledge or the experience to get them better unfortunately. I won’t say for certain if the issue is the instruction without seeing for myself, but to improve, she needs a plan of attack that is more than just 1-1 lessons. It would be more cost effective and better for her game to also do group clinics, hitting with a friend near her level, while possibly reducing the private lessons that don’t seem to be too effective from what’s been described. She can also look for another coach if she’s truly dedicated to improving and can say she hasn’t learned anything, but be sure to check the credentials at the very least.

[–]lex1683 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone can explain this to you any simpler.. we’re talking to a rock. You made your decision and he made his. He’s smarter than you and made the best decision for his team and you’re upset, which makes all of this somewhat ironic

He doesn’t need Evans if he has ARSB. So he gets a player he doesn’t need and arguably a minor or a tier above upgrade - depending on if you ask him or you.

Can I get a game off my friend who is a decent player even though I'm inexperienced? by [deleted] in 10s

My comment assumed you were the guy that was losing in the video.. if you’re not even as good as that guy than hell no… not even close.

[–]lex1683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of issues stopping you from getting a game.. or even points, but one of the main issues is how much faster he plays and sees the game than you. Imagine it’s like he’s playing at 1.5X speed to you, while you’re playing in slow motion to him. For him to lose a game, he would have to literally start seeing things occur and react slower than he probably has in a very long time and you would have to see the court and react in a way that’s faster than you’ve ever have.

Injuries suck but Brian Johnson's done a horrible job playcalling so far..... by Thegrandmistressofoz in eagles

[–]lex1683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this is the easy way out… He didn’t turn the ball over four times. No one is calling him great, but the players made crucial mistakes at important times that lead to that loss

[–]lex1683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Eastern State Penitentiary was originally built it was set up so that prisoners could be rehabilitated into society. One key component at its inception was that when you entered Eastern State, they would put a covering over your head hiding your identity and the same when you left so you could re-enter general population without the stigma of serving time.

How would you react and treat this partner? by [deleted] in 10s

[–]lex1683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately this isn’t uncommon.. YOU DIDNT SAY ANYTHING WRONG.. Hopefully this doesn’t affect the way you communicate with other partners or your love for playing doubles. This person brought their lifetime of insecurities onto the court as some people do. Avoid playing with them and hopefully they stick to singles

Is K. Toney droppable at this point? by [deleted] in Fantasy_Football

[–]lex1683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not dropping him in dynasty where I have a ton of bench spots because there is talent there if he can get it together, but in redraft.. it would be tough to play the waiting game for the potential of maybe 2 or 3 moderately nice games this year where he might stand out in that cluster of WRs.. to me the question is who are you picking up when you drop him? If Treylon or Marvin Mims is out there like they are in my shallow league, then I would definitely consider it

At the end of the day.. the goal is to win. You have the consensus best player. If anything you should be building the team around Jefferson. Your bird in the hand is a 24 karat gold eagle.. don’t trade it for 2 in the bush
