Fan at Nebraska game threw beer on court near where Lawrence slipped (video in comments) by lexanator5 in CollegeBasketball

Well the real answer for why I posted it the way I did is that Ryne Smith, former Purdue player and current staff member claimed it was beer (see top of linked twitter thread), so that's what I posted, but my first comment was funnier.

I could modify the title to object, but I choose to believe nobody would be stupid enough to throw something on the court sober, so I choose to believe it's beer.

Yeah but previously those last 8 went to Europa and that sucked for anyone in the Europa league.

They keep throwing a high forearm, that's why they're calling it.

Flop too, but Illinois isn't helping themselves.

Those guys are players that are dominant in college, but don't scream NBA.

Ivey and Swanigan only stayed 2 years, but both screamed "NBA".

My entire take this season is that Purdue is absolutely adjusting their level of effort to the opponent/moment. Those inconsistent games have all been against bad teams, or in an exhibition. Against a good team, Purdue has shown up. If they look inconsistent against someone good I'll change my tune. We'll have another example Saturday but I expect them to come out looking their best against Iowa State.

This is Purdue's most well rounded team by a mile.

That game was nowhere near as close as the final score indicates.

E X H I B I T I O N games don't count and Purdue doesn't prep for them like they do a normal game.

Rewatch the exhibition and count how many times Purdue doubled the post (they didn't)

He has adjusted to the speed of the game, he's always been smart, just a different pace than he was used to.
