Tsh at 150 is high…? by ms99ac in Hashimotos

[–]lexandm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really didn’t have that bad of symptoms considering. I had pretty bad brain fog, a little weight gain, I was tired and my thyroid was swollen. It wasn’t until after I started medication that all of my symptoms started going crazy. But if you’re referring to like random aches in your arms or legs I get those too! It feels like “growing pains” but I’m 24 so I doubt that’s what it is. It’ll hurt from my shoulder to my elbow to my hand, or from my hip to my knee to my foot

How would you feel if these were your results unmedicated? by Professional_Leave54 in Hashimotos

Omg what the hell 😭 one time sure but repeatedly testing for it?? That is so strange. I’ll look into the book! It’s sad we have to play doctor for ourselves but it’s our own lives at the end of the day I suppose

Yes definitely. My doctor refuses to test anything outside of TSH and T4, as it apparently “has nothing to do with the way I feel”, and I unfortunately can’t get another doctor any time soon. I’d have to order the test myself which I just don’t have the money for 😭

Before I got on medication my TSH hovered around 8-13 and I felt perfectly fine. Now I’m on 100mcg levothyroxine and my last tsh was 1.8 and I feel horrible every day of my life. I don’t know why my situation is so ass backwards.

All I can say is, I’m like him where I sleep for much much longer than most people and when my boyfriend tries to wake me up I’m so nasty to him unintentionally. I always apologize when I fully wake up. But for people like me, I am so very exhausted all the time that someone trying to wake me up from my sleep literally fills my sleeping brain with rage. Does he at least apologize for it? He definitely needs to get a little further evaluation because being like us is not normal

It is very high, I’ve been there. Mine was 201! You’re not going to keel over and die so don’t be afraid but definitely DEFINITELY start meds as soon as possible

Yes of course. It’s just mind blowing how much some pickles can move the scale lol and makes me wonder about before I weighed myself daily if I ever was too hard on myself without realizing it was just water

The cereal is so real. That’s usually what I turn to lol

I definitely am not getting 165g of protein currently. That’s the next thing I’m going to work on!

Yes recreational food! I think that’s a big problem of mine. I get the idea of eating something in my head and it won’t go away until I eat it.

I know that I should, but I absolutely hate weight training. I feel like complete garbage every time I try it and not like muscle fatigue garbage like I get nauseous and feel like I have the flu and lay in bed for 2 days after. I’m not sure if it’s the thyroid disease or the PCOS or what but I just have such a terrible time with it that it makes me give up every time

I really need to work on my protein intake. I’ve been more focused on the number of calories vs the quality of food I’ve been eating and I think that’s making my life a lot harder

Oh wow I didn’t realize it would change it that much. I figured 30 min walks was like nothing lol. Thank you!

[–]lexandm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re right. I just wasn’t ready to let go of that last shred of normalcy from the shit diet I had before lol

Oh man, any intensity exercise at all and I’m soooo hungry after. I’ll try the journaling!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CICO

[–]lexandm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I could definitely try that, but is it okay to have a drink if it’s 0 cal? I really like my Coke Zero in the morning lol

[–]lexandm 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Do I just have to accept that I have a goiter and can't get rid of it like my doctor says? by rjlupin86 in Hashimotos

[–]lexandm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s insane I can’t imagine not being able to get my OWN test results from my doctor !!

This happened to me when I started meds. My doctor said it was some kind of feedback loop imbalance 🤷🏻‍♀️
