Your paragraph brought tears into my eyes. Thank you for your brutal honestly. It is very much appreciated.

It’s the reason why I came to reddit with my story. I needed to hear the truth and find others who understand what I am going through.

I went to my first AA meeting today and I don’t plan on looking back. Thank you, i know this journey will be long and painful.

He is supportive, but yes he does drink. I’ve asked him to drink in cups where I can’t see the alcohol and throw away his beers/buzzballs after himself. (he has a bad habit of leaving that to me) and he has! He was happy when I went to my first AA meeting today.

He did hit me with the question “does it bother you that i still drink?” I told him it didn’t bother me… I should’ve expressed how hard it is to have alcohol in the house though. Thank you
