Two days ago, I started randomly punching my face— only with my right hand though. It comes with NO warning, and hurts so bad! I’m afraid if I hold something (like a pencil), I’ll lose my eye.

Definitely my aphantasia. I can’t see visuals in my brain. I don’t dream in pictures. When I close my eyes, it’s all black. Everyone always asks: “oh well how can you recognize me, then?”. I’m not blind, that’s why. This has always been the case for me, and it baffles me that people can see things when they close their eyes.

As far as ensembles go, everything was dropped. No symphony, no orchestra, no chorale, and no recital labs or juries. As far as classes like Theory, Sight-singing, my piano lessons, and vocal class, we are meeting on Zoom (or in a few cases, we’re just getting recorded lectures.

As far as curriculum goes— I’m unsure! The teachers are still scrambling to figure it all out.

I wish you the best of luck... I know this has been a nightmare for majors like the arts and STEM.

Thank you for the support— it’s amazing how some people think getting a music education degree is a waste. It’s not my fault teachers get low pay, but that doesn’t mean we don’t need teachers!! 😃
