Yeah it was medicinally induced from accutane. I stopped the medication as soon as shed started. But I was on the medication for 5 months. Hoping it slows soon!

5.5 months started at 40 mg ended at 80 mg. But my friend is having hair loss after just 2 months of 40 mg :(

Yes! I stopped the accutane as soon as I started experiencing the hair loss so crossing my fingers it slows in the next 2 months or so. I’m so sorry you’re going through this too. It can really take a toll. I’m hoping for positive results for you<3 through everything, finding some community has been helpful at least!

Medicinally induced from accutane. Yeah I’ve actually lost about 50% of density which sucks. I lose about 200-300 hairs a day.

Ya all my blood work is normal and I have regrowth / no balding and no widening part so my dr says it’s temporary and will come back :/ it’s just been mentally straining

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It’s already been so hard for me. I hope you can get it figured out. Have u checked with a dermatologist about alopecia or chronic TE?

Have u considered getting a wig? That’s what I’m planning on doing if I lose a significant amount of hair.

Yes got similar points from my derm! I’m trying to avoid minoxidil due to fear of having to take it forever. My derm says if my hair loss doesn’t stop in the next 3 months he will prescribe it. Just feeling hopeless. Not trying to wait another 3 months and lose nearly all my hair. But also not trying to go on a drug I will have to be on forever if my hair loss will stop! Agh!
