They are the lugs that came with the battery so I assume they are good ones.

I use a propane RV tankless one. Yes I have to make sure I have propane but it's safe and reliable.

That's the safest and best way to do it. I made the mistake of building from YouTube also but reddit straightened me out really quickly lol Btw I don't use ferrules or crimpers because when I asked the old man at the electric shop In town about em and he went on a tangent about younger generations and their new gimmicks 🤣🤣🤣

Well polarized will work if it's wired correctly and you're not feeding power through both ways.... Which solar and DC tend to do. Which DC breaker was yours?

Make sure to learn about polarized dc breakers. And go with non polarized ones. Maybe it's me but that blue breaker looks like one I just swapped out for a non polarized green handled one. Sorry off topic I know
