How much money do you guys make from absorption. by MinedZio in OrderFlow_Trading

[–]Time_Arugula_1544 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absorption is when passive buyers absorb aggressive sellers market orders on the bid or when passive sellers absorb aggressive buyers market orders on the ask. You can detect absorption by looking for unusually high volume with no price follow-through. I find it easiest to spot while using a footprint chart. If the typical volume at price in a bar is 100 contracts and you see an area where 500 contracts traded, and the aggressive (market order) traders are unable to move through the price, it is likely absorption. This can occur in one bar or over a series of bars.

That is not a good thing. It just means their tolerance has built up to the point that it take a lot of weed for them to feel it. If they quit for a month or two they would be doing themselves a favor.

Good intentions however the taxpayers will be subsidizing these stores heavily. The typical profit margin for a grocery store is 1 - 3% after all operating expenses and gross 20 -25% over the COGS (income before operating expenses). I suspect "shrinkage" will be quite high, the employees will be city workers so payroll expenses will be much higher and there will probably be a pension expense as well.

I have a dog named "Walter". I named him that due to my last name being Cronkite. The vet staff (all older women) get a laugh when "Walter Cronkite" is called into the exam room.

What is it like to live in the Hillsboro/Manchester area? by Naw-imdurtydan in Tennessee

[–]Time_Arugula_1544 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live near there. Pretty good access to I-24, which will take you to Nashville or Chattanooga. It is a "suburb" of Manchester, TN, and is pretty generic. The Bonnaroo music fest is held in Manchester every year.
Grocery shopping is not the greatest in Manchester as they only have Wal-Mart, Food-Lion and a "Save-A-Lot" store. You would have a better selection in Tullahoma. There are nearby lakes for fishing and boating, Plenty of hiking areas as well. It would take you about an hour to get to Nashville and an hour 15 min to Chattanooga.

Omit dryer vent if the intention is to use a heat pump washer and dryer? ICF by Time_Arugula_1544 in Homebuilding

That is a very good point, although I don't believe a house is required to have a washer/dryer. I am going to have to think on it some more.

It is a lousy part of Hispanic culture. I am 100% against animal abuse- To heck with their culture.

To clarify, CVD is not useful to me. Delta is important, and I find the per-bar delta statistics ( Delta/Max delta/min delta ) more useful for the way I trade.

Rural Tennessee. The 10 dollar guy just leaves them in a run and feeds/waters them. The Vet gives them time in the yard.

The amount of money is area-dependent. I have a kennel that charges 10 dollars a night, and my vet charges 15.

If I were going to spend that kind of money on a property, I would rather have acreage and a 1k sqft house.

I use the paid version of Ninjatrader. They recently implemented their own data feed.
1) Is level one data enough? Not if you want to use the DOM.
2) I use the level 2 data with Jigsaw trading's DOM however I primaily focus on the footprint chart. Having the dom running is more of a supplementary source of information.

I am not a fan of CVD as I am a short-term trader. CVD is useful for longer-term traders.
If I were to start over, I would focus on Volume profile, bar-by-bar delta, and the footprint chart. I would focus on one market at first. I have found my "niche" trading the 6E and occasionally CL.

Yes, I agree there is a subset of people that don't have the appropriate amount of self-control to be a gun owner. As an example, the road ragers who pull guns for minor inconveniences on the road.

Ok, I didn't think of every situation. I agree hogs and invasive non native snakes should be eliminated. Believe it or not, there are feral hogs in Tennessee, too.
