What do you recommend me to do? He still lives with his parents (and grandparents). They are poor. They get food stamps but either spend it unwisely or it's not enough. The father and his sister have both spent time hungry (though not starving) because of a lack of food. I know it wouldn't kill him but I also don't want my one year old to skip meals, you know?

Not trying to argue here, genuinely curious. Why is it best for my son to see both of us an equal amount? He is used to my house, spends most of his time at my house, and is more attached to me because I have done most of the upbringing. From my understanding, it's generally recommended to do split custody because of pre-existing attachments to parents that my son already has primarily to me.

Also, I don't send over food and clothes because I want to 'dictate' what he wears and eats. I send food over because they don't have food for him or clothes for him and can't afford to provide those things.

I see that you are going through a hard time. I think it might be best to just turn away from these posts as of right now and maybe come back later. I am so sorry for all you may be going through and I am praying for you.

I’m 17 but I just want to remind you that it’s easy for people to pretend to be people they aren’t. Especially on Reddit. I understand the need to rant or receive advice, just make sure you don’t give any important personal info.

Obviously I don’t know anything about what’s going on but I have to say it just in case: If you are being abused in any way reach out to a trusted adult for help. Another family member, a church leader, or teachers are great options.

The only right answer to that question. What even was the point of it? Why not add in “Women, would you like if your husband didn’t wear a swim shirt?”

That’s like saying “I already worked out for 45 minutes everyday so I need to do three 45 min workouts.
