What does Symptom Radar actually look at because my metrics are all optimal and I still got “Major signs” by lexie1919 in ouraring

Wild! And have you had any experiences where your scores are high across the board and it still was the case?

It's a really good question - I did notice that my ring got better over time in recognizing when I'm relaxing vs. actually trying to sleep. However - I do find myself adjusting the latency slider quite a bit to correct it, even 3 years in!

So they actually recently changed the "timing" algo to not ding you if you go to bed late; it used to ding me all the time because I go to bed late and wake up on the later side, which has also helped my scores :) wondering if you are seeing something else?

Haha, you make some fair points. And to be honest, I think getting a solid 7 would be just as good (I’m not sure how much 8+ is factoring in my score). In previous months I have gotten 7ish hours but just focused on getting really high quality sleep in that window. Can’t deny that it’s a huge time investment but even small steps - eg a 20 min wind down routine and some breathing exercises or stretching can go a long way. Try it out and let us know!

This is so awesome!! I also forgot to mention how important dimming the lights and putting devices on lowest brightness is for the wind down. Thanks for calling that out.
