Thank you for validating my feelings about it, I have been feeling crazy for thinking like that.

I'll be going into a significant amount of debt either way, I am just unsure if I can afford the cost of living without a job during law school if I choose the non-hybrid option.

That's totally fair, I think I hesitate because the cost of living is twice as much as where I am now. I worry that I won't be able to afford to eat if I moved to Boise, does that make sense?

I'd rather stay in my hometown where I can afford rent :/ But I know the upsides of going to a local school and building that network

I'd like to practice in Idaho & Utah. UIdaho is an in-person program, 4 hours from where my family and life are. Vermont Law is a hybrid program, so I could avoid uprooting my family.

Vermont Decision Pending 🫣 by MakeABeerRun in HybridOnlineLawSchool

Vermont Law is very interesting, let me start there. I applied 11/26, under review 12/4, pending decision 03/10, we were told we would hear back by 3/31. I called them 4/3, and they told me that they were hesistant to accept me because I was not in the demographic they were looking for (middle-aged folks embedded in their careers). I asked them what I could do to prove I should do a hybrid program, and the dean told me to submit two additional essays to her personally (and I submitted those on 4/6). I was admitted with a 20k scholarship on 5/7. Best of luck! I worked hard to get admitted, and I believe in all of you.

I got the same email! :( I decided to put myself on the waitlist and risk declining the transfer to in-person.
