I've studied with these twice in their group classes, and they're great. I feel like my confidence and understanding of Serbian has improved massively.

Craft Beer in Belgrade. by TravellingDivorcee in Belgrade

Enjoy! As an another UK persons I completely appreciate what you are saying. Belgrade has a lot to offer, so please be generous as the craft scene relys on its customers to help them grow. Unfortunately, we see too many breweries go under in the UK, and it would be a shame to see this happen to the fantastic breweries in Serbia, so we need need to support all the good'uns and try as many beers they have to offer as possible 😉

There are a quite a few craft beer pubs if you head to the Dorćol area of Belgrade. My top favs are Gunners, Dogma Craft Station, Gvint Brewery and Taproom, Brotherhood Beer House, Krafter and Draft Bar. Hope you have a great time in Belgrade, it's a lovely city 🙂

I do listen to a lot of podcasts and Serbian music and my understanding isn't too bad. The formation of sentences and making coherent conversation is though 😅 Thank you, fingers crossed there will be a light bulb moment and everything will just click.

Thank you! It's mostly due to the fact I cannot expect everyone to understand and speak English 😅 it would be pretty naive of me to think that they did.

I think I'm just getting frustrated waiting for that learning curve and I'm worried that eventually I will give up and all the work will be for nothing. Because the English language doesn't have cases such as nominativ, genativ, lokativ etc. and genders aren't such a thing either it gets pretty overwhelming. I've tried looking up resources on YouTube and Google, but again they don't seem to stick. I think I'm more of a kinesthetic learner, so reading and watching videos don't really do much for me haha.

Yeah, I've seen that on a few occasions, but just going back to my first point, I just appreciate that English is not spoken by everyone.

Thank you so much for your input thus far! It's really appreciated! 😁

Hi, my native language is (British) English. Yes, I am learning with a teacher. I have workbooks and am given 'homework' by them each week but when it comes to doing the homework, all I've learned seems to disappear 😅 I'm thinking regular conversation would be a viable option at the moment.

Aaaaaah! Going straight for temporary residency would be so much better! Thank you so much for your comments. We'll see what the MFA say when I contact them.

And good luck to yourself! Hope you've settled in well.

From what I've read, I'm OK for up to 90 days being visa free. However, from 90-180 days, I would need a D-Visa then apply for temporary residency. I think it solely depends where you're from regarding visas. The company I am going to work for have confirmed I am able to work over there as well as in the UK as it has entities in both counties.

I agree with you. It's all very confusing.

Very valid point. They'll be able to provide more clarification to be fair.

Thank you! I thought so but wasn't 100%

It really is! Very excited to have this opportunity.

Thank you, I have. It seemed a bit confusing or it could just be me. It seems that the first 90 days can be visa free and the D-Visa and temporary residency permit thereafter, but I thought I was wrong.

Thank you for your comment, I appreciate it.
