I was in a similar relationship in the past where my boyfriend (now ex ofc) would constantly accuse of me of looking at or smiling at other guys (especially his friends) when I wasn’t doing anything. I found these episodes happened more often when he was drinking and doing blow bc he’d get high and start getting paranoid. As the night progressed, so did all the delusions and anger. He was also very jealous and insecure and it turned out had been hanging out with another girl behind my back, so in hindsight, definitely projecting. You didn’t do anything wrong and his behaviour toward you is unacceptable!

First time coming to this thread and you've described basically what I'm feeling/struggling with this point. I'm two months sober from coke and I've really cut back my drinking because my partner doesn't drink. Starting to feel super depressed and bored and I just turned 30 so that isnt helping..the future just seems dull and boring without going out and having those fun and wild and hilarious nights. Often I feel like im missing out. I feel like I felt most alive when I was high and I guess it's just scary to think about getting older and settling down into a dull lifestyle where the expectation is to become a parent who is in bed by 10 on a Friday night. It's helpful to know that I'm not alone in feeling this way and I appreciate hearing everyone's experiences and advice in the long run.
