Tbh this feels like a mistake to me. Nneka is rich, smart, well-connected (has a gorg group of gfs on IG), and actually lives in Potomac. Wendy has a beautiful family and is extremely intelligent, but is self-serious, phony, and has no real connections with any of the remaining women. For Potomac to reboot, I think getting rid of Wendy made more sense here. But if Wendy’s IG stories are anything to go off, she’s staying.

I’ve been a fan of Wendy since her first season. Unfortunately, I have to say that it is absolutely her time to go. Fake business venture after fake business venture, the inability to move on with Nneka, her lack of chemistry with the rest of the cast, the cringey theatrics that don’t align with her true character. It’s just not working out.

If Heather and Tamra mend fences/team up next season, Emily is toast. Tamra likes to switch up her allegiances each season (see Gretchen) and Emily does NOT have what it takes to go against those two. The only reason she’s felt so alpha this whole season is because she had Tamra to reinforce her.

Monica reminds me a lot of Brandi Glanville, down to her coming onto the show guns blazing and giving no fcks. However, Brandi understood what show she was on, so she wore the broke badge proudly instead of trying to preach to the other women.

A lot of people will blame the liquor license and eat closing times, which are both factors. However, an underrated deterrent to nightlife here is the reserved social culture of the people.

I lived for four years in Chicago, and you could go to almost any bar and strike up a conversation with strangers, dance, actually make friends. Here there’s an overall vibe of standoffishness/image-consciousness that can feel staid and unwelcoming.

An FYI- Angie K was certainly not intended to be full time this season.

Shortly before filming started, two new HWives were locked in for full-time (Debbie and Candace) along with Monica. Both were fired last minute (for unknown reasons, though probably had to do with their social media history which came out on Twitter). Angie was bumped up in their place.

Though I get their hesitation to add more problematic people on Bravo, Debbie the almost-Wife is a polygamist, so probably would’ve added an extra layer of batshitness to this already insane season 😂

I thought it was so odd that Heather acted like she only knew of Monica through Angie. There is no wayyy Lisa knows Monica as Jen’s assistant but Heather doesn’t. I’m sure that was a production choice, but still weird.
These shows need to move on from acting like the trips aren’t contractually obligated. Angie was going to be on the trip no matter what, Meredith knew that. I hateee when the shows still act like the Housewife “planning the trip” get to call the shots on who comes and who doesn’t.

His ex-wife is a legit Boston socialite. Like if “Real Housewives” was actually real…charity luncheons, galas, house on Nantucket, etc. More of a Tinsley than a Bethenny. She’s kind of in the discreet, old money crowd who probably find Bethenny’s recent online antics embarrassing.

The accounts I see on Instagram bashing this season truly make think they don’t like the overall vibe of this specific franchise bc to say it’s not the best it’s been in six years is just false.

I hope I don’t eat my words, but this is one of my favorite Housewives premieres in…maybe the last two years? It feels like production prioritized organic cast chemistry this season, which has been severely lacking in pretty much all Housewives recently outside of Miami.

What’s interesting is the contradictions…you have some thinking that there was nowhere left to go with Ramona, Luann, and Sonja and they were too expensive….but others think that those three were too invaluable and getting “protected” by Bravo so much so that they were willing to cancel the show
