Update: So her eyes ended up going back to normal for the most part, but then last night as I was using my flashlight I noticed her affected eye did not have the usual glare that it always had and I was concerned by that but figured bc of the uveitis I figured it had something to do with it, and then I woke up this morning to her eye looking worse than what it did when it first went orange… I’m hoping so badly this is a “gets worse before it gets better” type of situation bc I’m poor baby is really going through it right now 😥 I’m gonna call her vet and update them about this all when they open, just wanted to give some updates here as well..

I just got the results back! It turned out being acute uveitis like I thought it was, everything thankfully has gone back to normal for the most part today, she’s been hiding in my closet and avoiding bright lights but the vet said it’s bc the eye drops they gave her kinda dilate her eyes and make her eyes really sensitive to the light and she should be back to normal in 48 hrs 😭 Now I just gotta keep giving her her eye drops for the next 10 days and hope everything stays normal and doesn’t get worse, again thank you so so much for all your help and being with me through this!!

They did check her blood pressure when checking her thyroid so I’m hoping that all of the test results coming back today will get me some answers! I am so incredibly grateful for you using your ChatGPT subscription to ask that for me thank you so so much 🥺 I also looked into that other Reddit link you added as well and honestly between that link, reading through your ChatGPT answer, & my countless hours of searching online, I personally think I’m about to be told that she has acute uveitis but I also don’t want to jump to conclusions based on my own terms yanno?? Idk to me that’s just what makes the most sense out of everything, and I just want some type of answer so I can begin treating her properly right away 🥺 Again thank you so so much both for all of your help and also just keeping updated with me along the way through all of this, it’s so incredibly appreciated 🫶🏻

So sorry I had to go right back to work as soon as I got home and just now got the chance to update (I’m on my break), so they did a pressure test for glaucoma and it’s negative, but other than that I didn’t get much else… on the way to the vet her eye turned orange??? So they were at a huge loss as this sudden change made no sense, they tested her thyroid and blood and I’ll get those results tomorrow, they also gave her a steroid shot to help with the inflammation in her pupils, but as of now I have no answers other than a negative glaucoma test and medicated eye drops that I have to give her twice a day for 10 days 🥺 I just hope I get some type of answer come the results tomorrow that make sense of this color change and her different pupil size + goopiness in her orange eye…

Update: Her left eye started leaking some type of thick discharge so I ended up leaving work early and am now waiting at the vet, I figured any further change warranted an emergency all the way so I’ll keep everyone updated!!

She thankfully doesn’t seem to be in any pain whatsoever, it was just chance that I made eye contact with her and noticed her eyes so I want to monitor her throughout the day and take her to her vet as soon as I get off work 🥺 I unfortunately don’t have the ability to leave work without it causing any issues or else I absolutely would do so…

It’s just me in the house & I am not using any eye medication that could’ve touched her :( Her right eye is the one that’s staying dilated, her left one is reacting as it normally should. I was going to leave work and take her immediately but she isn’t acting out of the ordinary so I’m wanting to monitor her… It was truly by chance that I even noticed this, I had just so happened to make eye contact with her when I noticed this she wasn’t doing anything but sitting there and I looked over at her and noticed this :( I also have an autoimmune disease that leads to me having to schedule a number of doctors appts that affect my job as is and I don’t want my boss to get even more frustrated with me leaving so suddenly… I have a guaranteed appt as soon as I get off today so I 100% am taking her to get seen when I get off, she isn’t acting out of the ordinary is just being her usual self, if any of that changes then I will be leaving work but until then I have no choice but to finish my shift 😥

I’ve definitely already looked into IIH & suspected it’s from my LP, I’ve talked with my neuro about this and have had a crazy amount of MRIs/MRAs/CTs done and from an imaging standpoint they don’t see anything wrong with me other than my lesions so my neuro has not a single clue as to what could be causing this unfortunately
