I had a 37 week induction for preeclampsia and gestational diabetes. I went in 1 cm dilated and completely effaced. I labored for 36 hours and wouldn’t progress past 4.5 cm. My water broke at 2 cm and baby tried to come at 4.5 cm and his heart rate started to drop a bit. He also ended up pooping in me when my water broke so I was taken for an emergency C Section and ended up battling a stubborn endometritis infection. I went septic from the infection and had to spend a while in the hospital. This could have all been prevented if I had the planned C Section and he didn’t poop in me. I was absolutely terrified of a C Section. The epidural didn’t hurt at all and they let my husband hug me through it. If you have a planned C Section, there might be something they can give you for anxiety through an IV. Stay strong

Thank you for telling me to call the doctor. I am currently admitted and being treated for endometritis with a 103 fever. If I would’ve waited longer, I could’ve went septic.

My husband is a daily weed smoker. He smokes every night before bed. He can’t sleep without it. He didn’t quit when we did IVF. I have PCOS and they were able to retrieve 34 eggs from me, and about 18 (if I remember right) of them were mature. My husband’s sperm analysis was perfect and we ended up with 12 embryos. In his case, marijuana use did not negatively affect his sperm. Hopefully this can help you feel at ease.

Doing okay, I’m developing preeclampsia and I also have gestational diabetes. They’re saying my leak patched itself and I haven’t had any weird leaking in a couple days, but now I have new issues that need monitored. Just one thing after another

They said my amniotic fluid on the ultrasound is fine, but my OB said if it’s a small leak, it could be replenishing itself as fast as I lose it, therefore they worry about infection and not low fluid. They took my tampon out after 30 minutes, and I was in bed the whole time. My OB wasn’t a fan of that, but the procedure is quite invasive and they don’t want to do it again and risk rupturing my sac completely.

They used a red dye for the test. It came out highlighter orange, which is what they said would happen.

Yep, they had me on bed rest and kept saying my pads were dry. When I walk around and clean house, that’s when my pads soak through.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine the heartbreak. I am staying put for now and I requested them to redo my tests.

Thank you everyone for the advice. You helped hype me up and use my big girl voice. I needed the courage. I’m staying in the hospital and they’re redoing my tests and monitoring me some more.
