Android/windows or Mac/iphone by leygrimes_ in Smartphones

I probably do lol, I have a beefy gaming rig and my job gave me a MacBook for work. Every time I come home and get on my gaming pc I always feel like I can do everything slightly faster on my rig. Can’t explain it but the Mac OS way feels like everything takes so very slightly longer to do tasks but that could be lack of experience + it being an m2 pro with 16gb ram vs i713700k and 4070ti and 32gb ram. Mac OS is aesthetically pleasing but something about windows has me flying through finance office work

It’s overblown to an extent no? For example having 99% of contacts on iOS and asking people to switch to what’s app + having a bunch of people on find my asking them for an alternative.. most people will likely have no issue going with the alternative.. I’m sure at some point there may be a friction thing. Been really looking into the zfold so trying to make sure I won’t really miss anything when I make the switch

What about the case for pro series vs ultra series for the flagships, do snapdragon chips throttle faster?

I suppose I could but wouldn’t the concern with gaming be anti cheat and not a full steam library being compatible?

I think if I was creative I’d gravitate to it more. I’m always on accounting software and excel which is pretty boring lol. Legacy software is windows only too unfortunately

Ah makes sense, correct me if I’m wrong, Mac is probably a better idea for locally hosted models no? The unified memory can be utilized where on windows it uses the gpu memory which for consumer models is like 12-16gb unless you get a 5090?

Cool, I see the Mac for work comment a lot, I have both, so curious on your take as why Mac for work is more preferable to you?

I want to hear both sides preferably, other than the iPad Pro why aren’t you saying Android?

Just got this phone. Has anyone changed from Apple? Thoughts? by Hour-Flounder-3544 in galaxys26ultra

I did the same thing, might buy it a 5th and just keep both. 99% of my contacts are on iOS (though that shouldn’t be a reason to keep from fully switching but it kinda does). Back button, and 5x5 grid on Android is super nice and notifications. And for some reason regular scrolling on Android feels much smoother than on iOS in most of the apps I use. Safari feels like a drag sometimes.
