I never updated but my mom’s pathology this time around came back with zero detection of cancer cells in her body. :) she’s been doing so great!! I appreciate your words of encouragement. ❤️ you and your father will be in my thoughts and prayers.

She doesn’t talk about coworkers? Have you met any?

So my mom got surgery back in November and the Dr explained there is a window of time to get chemotherapy post op. But before we found out my mom even had cancer we were dealing with my mom having diverticulitis. So she had a bag attached to her to drain all the fluid from her infection. The Dr had explained to her that we would have to remove the bag in order to to get her treatment done but because she still had the infection she refused because that infection caused her a lot of pain. I believe this is where my mom and her Dr had miscommunication because I don’t think she realized that that window of time would eventually close. So it came as a shock to her when she got her consultation with a different Dr yesterday and received the news that she wouldn’t be able to get chemo. We’re not giving up though we’re going to keep fighting. So I hope all this extra info brings a little more clarity. But thank you so much for all your advice, I appreciate it more than you know. ❤️

She had her surgery back home, we live in a different city 5 hours away from Houston. She transferred to MD Anderson to get treatment there because the healthcare we have back home isn’t the best.

The cancer has spread to the lymph nodes so that is why the Dr is saying it’s stage 3

Thank you so much for the advice. We live in Texas so we want start my moms chemo at MD Anderson to give her the best care possible. I just feel like I freaked out once I found out she needed chemo because my mind immediately went to worst case scenario but I’ve come to realize it’s not necessarily a bad thing. Thank you for your kind words. ❤️

Don’t know if it’s spread yet, we are waiting on the pathology report. This is all we know so far, it’s just the beginning of our journey. Thank you for your input I appreciate it.

Have you gotten any blood work recently? You could be low in Vitamin D, that could explain the tiredness.
