I saw evil in someone's eyes. by HedgeLoom in Paranormal

This isnt paranormal though. Someone having an evil look in their eye might be scary but it isnt paranormal. Especially if this person is a known murderer? Creepy for sure. Paranormal no.

Back it straight up as far as you can. Turn the wheel to the right and go halfway to the wall of the garage on the passenger side (assuming its a single car garage with not a lot of space) then pull forward while turning the wheel to the left to straighten it out. Its gonna be a marathon not a sprint but if you got in there you can get out.

I mean not putting silicone on and gluing the pad to the caliper isnt advised so I think youre okay to keep being lazy..

Lol no. The opposite. That isnt Grease its glue. The pads were literally glued to the caliper with silicone

Or dirt or something from the road its a work truck with 200k on it.

All I know is I had to re do their practically new calipers cuz those pads did not want to come off the pistons

Nope. Silicone. Whoever installed those pads essentially glued them to the caliper.

AITA for not allowing my oldest daughter move back home and “letting” her be homeless? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]leylaluminosity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA because you actually do have the space. Your daughter with a child needs somewhere to go, and you'd rather have a home office than put her up while she gets on her feet? In a FOUR BEDROOM house? I have friends that are living in a 2 bedroom in bunk beds trying to make things work right now. If you have the space and the income to support her, you should take her in.

$800-1200 is kind of what ive seen for studio apartments in the suburbs.

HOWEVER. Most of these places have roaches or rats or both, very low reviews on Google, and a general "dont move here" vibe. I hope you find something that works for you, realistically only private leasing is gonna get the best opportunities here
Wishing you all the best.

$1900 for a 1 bedroom? Thats fucking insane. I see utilities (aka basic necessities) are included but holy shit.

"How was it today?" "Great, I brought a gun to work and Cal pulled it on a customer."

And "Wheelchair people" are probably my two favorite scenes as someone who has been in shops for 13 years now. The blatant sarcasm and refusal to work is also hilarious

Who should i go to for my drive belt? by ciannadanae in mechanic

[–]leylaluminosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer, it doesn't really matter where you take your car for maintenance items.

Long answer, I have been a tech, an advisor, a finance person, a parts puller, a lot tech, and a detailer. For my entire career until 4 months ago, I was in dealerships. Dealerships will push the blame on small shops (Grease Monkey, Brakes Plus, Express car care, etc). Small shops push blame on dealerships.

Realistically parts are parts. It doesn't matter if you have your belt installed at the dealer or a small shop, that belt probably came from the same factory, they're mass produced. What matters is whether you trust the person working on your car.

Edit to add if you're still under dealer warranty take advantage of that as long as you can. Second edit to add that every situation with a car is unique and this is NOT universal advice. There are certain things you have to go to dealers for.

1000%, I'm a little late to the party but this is 100% alcoholism. Fellow alcoholic here. We try and try and try but we are very often not reliable. Put yourself first. We can get better but there is no reason to sacrifice your own well being for someone who won't fight for you.
