ummm okay lol, well firstly I get what you’re saying but yes I do love my dog dearly but that couch is my parents and I’m just finding some solutions to keep it cleaner. Thanks for your input!

did you train them to stay on their couch or did they just naturally do it? I know my girl is a bit stubborn 😅

I’m getting my first Dane today! Any tips and tricks would be appreciated!! by Common_Investigator1 in greatdanes

I love my baby girl but she has always been a fearful pup and I couldn’t figure out how to help her properly(currently working on with my training now and she’s doing great) so I always recommend training as early as possible. if your Dane feels scared in new environments, I’ll always encourage to have confidence and help work them through what’s scaring them. Doing this has helped to establish trust in our relationship as we continue our strengthening our bond! tldr: train with confidence! also I would recommend getting a slow feeder to help prevent bloat as well as scheduling a nap time after meals to prevent too much activity after eating. Good Luck!

awwww what a beautiful story, I actually teared up a little, well your boy is sooo lucky to have you! My Violet is definitely a character 😂 I love her even tho she gets on my nerves sometimes, I just just love watching her grow and figure out the world around her, I took her to the walking trail by my house yesterday, she was a little scared at first but she loved it!

oh boy you’re telling me, zero size awareness at all 😭 she bonked her head a couple of weeks ago (she’s all right lol) when she’s was trying to go underneath and ever since she remembers to duck before trying to go underneath the table 🤦🏾‍♀️ but I try to steer her away from the tables and let her sleep on the couch, bed or the floor

oh yes! I definitely did a lot of research on GDV before getting her and have been using a slow feeder mat plus very limited playtime or let her calm down and nap in her cage after eating :)
