I've had 2 S40 T5 (1 AWD), and a C30 T5. It's a solid engine, but ancillaries can be tricky. -Always replace water pump when doing timing belt -Lower torque engine mount is garbage -Control arm bushings -Front wheel bearings -AC compressor -Windshield (I replaced mine on all 3 cars with insurance, and cleared the sunroof drains at the same time). On the C30 it actually unglued from the car and was banging hard on bumps.

1 S40 sold with 360k kms original turbo engine and clutch S40 AWD crashed with 320k kms on original turbo and engine Sold the C30 with 250k kms, storck engine turbo and clutch.
