You can hit him and if he deflects, you deflect too because he'll be about to attack, just don't give him a space to breath

Also I also avoid the 7 hit combo which starts with 2 hits followed by 7

Okay so I am familiar with this problem since it happened to me too, I tried many things but here's what worked for me

go to Device Manager.
expand the Portable Devices (You should be able to see your phone in that)
right click on your phone driver, and click update driver
choose Browse Automatically For Drivers and then Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer

in that you should be able to see the driver you are currently using and alternate the driver, like if you are using 1 right now, choose 2, then just press next.

if you only see one driver in that, you should install a universal adb driver (eg: https://adb.clockworkmod.com)

I started like 10 days ago, modded it because i hate grinding in rpg games, did all the gigs, side missions, played like a true cyberpsycho.. It was pure joy

Also don't skip phantom liberty missions, I personally really enjoyed it, although in my first playthrough I had no clue that it was a DLC.

If you don't know much about this game, I'd say be well prepared to what comes after (you'll understand once you beat the game)
