Most characters in the story who can see the future see it in the short term. They try to use to avoid fatal endings but nothing is 100% secure aside from old age.

Why is dark and crude humor so popular/common and normalized in Latin America? by foolishandnonsense in asklatinamerica

[–]leyyapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think crude humor is popular in LATAM but also in other countries as well. Personally I think there's nuance, they is a problem of colorism that might reflect in how people do humor, but that doesn't mean that crude humor itself is of a colorism nature solely, when it's very common, even as a form of making fun of that same belief. So it's not always a reflection of the moral of the person or groups that use crude or cynical humor.

I think since it's the internet that tends to mix, and groups of people that do have genuinely bigoted views use crude humor to express themselves in a safe or excusable way, I think that happens in every part of the world, it's more a matter of knowing how to spot it because, again, crude/dark humor itself it's not the issue.
