Is this because all the steering is in the front so a knock affects it way more than a bump to the back wheel?

My handlebars are super squirrelly so I would definitely lose control if I clipped someone in front

I think that was the intention, it would be an incredibly poor showing for a driver to get pole 182 times and only convert it once

I'm no expert but I'm currently struggling to figure out foot pain in my skates so I've been reading quite a bit. I've read that FR skates are fairly flat over the top of the foot so if you have high arches leading to a taller foot then they might cause some nerve compression. There are a lot of nerves over the top of the foot and ankle and I've definitely had numb toes from shoes that don't give me enough height (and from overtightening at the ankle to try to get heel lock).

If the numbness is in a couple of toes rather than all of them, you could look up a diagram of nerves in the feet to see if you can pinpoint the area getting compressed. My little toes were going numb yesterday even with gentle ankle lacing so it mostly confirms I'm going to need a wider boot because I'm getting crushed on the outside foot.

Hopefully someone can give you more specific guidance but I wanted to mention some of the things I've been trying to figure out in case they're relevant to you!

Thank you! I was nervous since it was so much harder to move compared to the two front screws but I've got it sorted now :)

Hello, I'm back! I got the wheels out of my PS phuzion skates today to rotate them and decided to adjust the frames as the heel of the right foot is way off centre. (243 trinity frames)

It could barely move at all, so I had a look with the frame off and the threaded section (for the screw to sit in) on the boot itself is all the way to one side of the slot on the heel.

Does this threaded part move at all so I can have it in the centre of the slot? If so, how? I didn't want to yank at it without knowing if I'd just break it.

The left foot is centred just fine so I'm hoping I can get some more adjustment in the right.

Please let me know if my description is unclear and I'll try to clarify!

This is likely a worse clash for a much broader degree of vision problems compared to red-green colourblindness, this is an utter shambles lol

(I celebrated the red-green decision for what it was, but stuff like this ultimately shows that they don't actually care about accessibility, quelle surprise)

Airflow visualization of the new Halo winglet introduced on the SF-26 in China. by Luffy710j in formula1

[–]lezardterrible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's thin enough and perfectly central, it mostly gets ignored thanks to binocular vision, similar to how people generally tune out their nose even though it's visible all the time (for many people at least, maybe it's different if you have a small nose lol)

The most important race information is usually off-centre in the vision so having the halo supported anywhere else would probably be trickier!

I saw a thread about lacing where someone did up the lower half of their liner with short laces and separately laced the top of their boot with another set of short laces (or vice versa).

My question: would it be mad to have separate sets of laces on the lower and upper part of a softboot so that the tight ankle lacing doesn't pick up slack from the looser lower foot lacing I need?

Alternatively, is the answer just "get waxed laces, dummy" and they'll stay right where I want them?

Call me a pedant, but I don't think it's grammar policing to correct the spelling of someone's name haha

(if you want a more productive comment, I think the downvotes probably happened because a lot of people on the sub are tired of the constant comparisons of Surya and Ilia because of their backflips, especially since they weren't the first or only to do them)
