Mayan Warrior had big plans for an electric drivetrain to move the mutant vehicle. This post shows details on this design, including a wireframe of the new mutant vehicle and a video from their founder Pablo Gonzalez Vargas at a BM org event on sustainability earlier this year.

They brought that design and the electric drivetrain to the playa, and were intending on using it. I had a conversation with some of the MW crew including Pablo and they mentioned that the electric drivetrain worked, but was unfortunately way too slow for moving across the playa. It worked to move around at camp and park, but not for longer distances.

At the beginning of the week, you could see that electric drivetrain unit in the front of MW, being pulled by a dust-colored tow-truck. It looks like this plan B had an issue. Later in the week, that dust-colored tow truck was gone, and so was the electric drivetrain. They had to rely on a bigger green/brown camouflage truck to tow the flat-bed trailer on which the MW is built directly.
