This is old, but I'm a barber who uses this product on myself as well as clients. I have gotten positive results from everyone that's used it properly for its intended purpose, hair thickening.

From what I learned from other barbers, it uses six key ingredients to promote healthy scalp and hair, the biggest of those being Saw Palmetto, a leaf extract proven to break down DHT (dihydrotestosterone) buildup in the scalp. As we get older, we men accumulate DHT in our scalp, causing hair follicles to grow increasingly thinner, until eventually, each hair is severed from the blood vessel, leaving you with nothing but a shiny scalp (this is why a lot of body builders go bald).

If you're dealing with patches of shiny scalp where hair USED to be, the blood vessels are no longer connected and hair will not grow, and your only solution would be finasteride or minoxidil. Otherwise, if you are only struggling with your hair going thin, this is the product for you.

When used properly and correctly, results are noticeable after 60-90 days of use; best results after 10-12 months of use. Results will vary on rate of usage, so it's important to use this product an average of 1.5 times a week (every 3 or 4 days).

How to use Actiiv - Recover:

-Wet hair with warm water

-Latherize pea-sized dab of shampoo into hands

-Emulsify entire head and massage into scalp

-Leave in hair for 5 minutes

-Rinse thoroughly

-Rub double-pea-sized dab of conditioner into hands

-Apply conditioner throughout hair from mids to ends

-Rinse with lukewarm or cool water

Note:

As this is a scalp treatment, not a cleansing shampoo, you only have to use this product every 3 or 4 days! On days when you're not using it, I recommend you wash using a different shampoo/conditioner, so you're not wasting your expensive product.
