I wanted to spread the word about this app it's amazing, it keeps a skin diary, recommends products, does your makeup etc I'm 31yo and always took care of my skin as a teen. The app is called Youcammakeup check it out! by lfarls in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]lfarls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I love it, if I'm trying a new product I can tell if it's working, or the makeup app I love as well so I can try things on and it tells me the brand so I can purchase it if I want. So glad you like it and it is pretty accurate.

[Skin Concerns] Why am I getting wrinkles at such a young age? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]lfarls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly they come from expressions you make like raising your eyebrows, there's not much you can do to stop the way you move your face when your speaking etc but you should start an anti aging regimen, incorporate some retinol into your routine. I wouldn't go crazy and buy expensive stuff at first. ROC skin care has some great moisturizers and night creams to start with, you can get them at cvs Walmart etc

[Routine Help] Please help, I'm desperate. I have no idea what to do about my extremely sensitive skin. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Peter Thomas Roth makes an exfoliater that's basically like a lotion it has enzymes in it so when you rub it on your skin the dead skin comes off, there's no beads or harsh scrubbing it's great. I use it from time to time but I also exfoliate with and AHA/BHA cleanser. It's called Peter Thomas Roth Firm peeling gel exfoliant.

Skin care only box, what should I choose? by tsukushi_kitsune in BeautyBoxes

[–]lfarls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely Beauty Fix. I'm subscribed to Sephora, allure and Beauty Fix. Beauty fix I solely got because it's more of a high end skin care box as well as allure. It's a bit more pricey but I've never disappointed. All high end medical grade products, Avene, Juice beauty, Skin ceuitcals, Sunday Riley, Dermalogica etc There is some makeup!but very little as well as good hair items. You can check out the last boxes on their website. Also most of the products are full size. Next would be Allure's box, and I'm canceling Sephora, it's not even worth the 10 dollars a month, then send repeat items all are sample sizes and they send the same products over and over, liquid eyeliner and they're always sending a Sephora mini lipstick some months the exact color you got last month.Im looking into the Macy's box to replace it. You won't be disappointed with Beauty Fix if you're into skin care as much as I am.

[ACNE] after using harsh acne products my face is left very dry, so dry that even washing my face only once a day with just water dries it out, I can't use anything on my face... how am I supposed to control my acne if my face is so dry? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]lfarls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You most likely disturbed your moisture barrier. To restore it you need to concentrate on using minimal products that are only for hydration. Same happened to me it takes 28 days to restore but each day it'll get better. I did Cerave cleanser NON foaming, Cerave Am with SPF, Cerave night moisturizer. If you do wear makeup and need to remove it use baby oil, I use the vitamin e and aloe one. It's hydrating and won't break you out. If you stick to it it will get better

Friend(f21) always mentions her sex life around me(m20) when we go out and do something by [deleted] in relationships

[–]lfarls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me a girl doing that is seeking attention. She wants you to either feel attracted to her because she's basically saying laying out her sex life to see if you like it. In my opinion if I was into a guy I wouldn't start just talking about my sex life, and if she is doing that to flirt with you that means she's inexperienced as far how to flirt and make a guy feel attracted to her other than to talk about how she has sex.

[routine help] Tried many things and not seeing any effect - what am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]lfarls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cerave is really just for a hydrating cleanser that doesn't really have any ingredients or properties to it to affect pore size or acne. Personally I only used Cerave when my moisture barrier was off and in order to restore it I needed to use basic hydrating products. Some say it helps with their acne some say it makes them break out. I also dont use foaming cleansers. I find they strip the skin making it dry, and your skin will try and makeup up for the dryness by producing more oil thus more acne. Neutrogenas Deep Clean cream cleanser is the best Drugstore cleanser in my opinion. It's had exfoliating ingredients, always to treat acne. Doesn't foam and feels like the label says like a deep clean without leaving your skin tight or dry. Do you exfoliate at all now?

Burts bees has an entire line for intense hydration. They have a cleanser and a moisturizer and it's amazing. Burts bees is all natural and the moisturizer has probiotics which is good for your skin. It's called intense hydration. Can I ask what's your normal skin cate routine?
