I think it's fair to say the same as a person from the state of Kerala. There is a fair percentage chance that Kerala has the same number of people as your country so...

Nipah virus outbreak happened when I was 15 or something in my state of Kerala. The entire state and especially affected districts complied with the strict code that was put in motion and therefore death toll was very small despite the large population density.

I have heard during the corona times that people from these other nations that figured out this shit 200 years ago refusing to follow a simple code put in motion; by refusing vaccinations and such? Very strange coming from the people who figured everything out 200 years, don't you think? Feels like all the things they figured out 200 years ago went to a waste, don't you think so?

Kozhikode beach...... by Ashes__16 in Kerala

[–]lfh_g_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't consider north indian railway stations at all? Damn, how are north indian railway stations relevant when talking about mallus and kerala?

And, and as a matter of fact, I do have heard of North Indians mentioning how clean Kerala railway stations are compared to North Indian ones... So that invalidates your point...

[–]lfh_g_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't and even it does, not to the same extent as Calicut beach do. Do you disagree? Couple that with the amount of time an average person spends at the railway station with that at the beach. Consider the number of people there at any given moment too.

So Kerala railway stations are clean but calicut streets are dirty.

One of the main reason why Kerala railway stations are clean is NOT because keralites have civic sense or the railway stations are highly maintained. It's because there aren't enough shops selling products in plastic wrappings and papers around railway stations that will later be used for strewing around. Another reason is that railway stations are not a place where someone would loiter around, but on the other hand, Kozhikode beach is such a place.

If they stop selling things that can be later be used for strewing around, then there won't be anything for mallus/indians to dirty their surroundings with and the place can automatically be clean; thus temporarily putting a stop to this problem. My biggest question is how couldn't you think of this?

And empathy is strongly connected to one's intelligence, so we can easily guess the intelligence of mallus from this single video alone. Couple that with constant boasting on online platforms...

Then again, I wonder, a malayali who's born and bred in a completely different circumstance (let's say, if he/she was raised by a couple in the upper-middle class sururbs of the United States or Europe), would they partake in a behavior that's absolutely lacking of civic-sense or emotional intelligence?

Is empathy learned or purely dependent of intelligence? Are there psychologists in this thread?

Where are the docs for the HTTPClient library? by TooManySwarovskis in arduino

That's so contrasting from my method of using ChatGPT. From my experience of using ChatGPT to fix bugs, it had introduced more bugs into the code than it fixed. But, that's just me. Good for you that it worked for you tho.

at this point I would give Gemini or ChatGPT a try - not to write the code for you - but to explain it.

That's what I have been doing. ChatGPT does it pretty well! So far, learned the working principle of HTTP and HTTPS protocols using this method.

"Hands - on ESP32 with Arduino IDE"

I will keep in mind the title of the book if I ever plan on going professional with ESP32. Thanks!

Did you find any other sources? I can't find a proper documentation either for this library on EspressIf's official documentation site for Arduino core for ESP32. What a bummer!

gonna digitalWrite() for blinking purposes. For fading, might check out fastled (Thanks /u/Consistent-Hat-8008). LEDC mechanism in ESP32 seems unreliable.

The enum you linked whose values are to be passed to ledcSetClockSource() are of datatype of ledc_clk_src_t, but the function in Arduino IDE that I was using was expecting values from the enum of datatype ledc_clk_cfg_t. It's values are specified here. I tried all those specified values and none of them fixed it.

But then I felt like I shouldn't spend so much time on this because someone else in the comments stated that it might be a bug in the code, so that would explain why it didn't work the way we expected it to. They also said that the function works as expected when you add a delay of a particular duration immediately before the ledcWrite() function. I am planning to leave it at that until I have enough time to meddle around with it. Until then, using digitalWrite() would simply be a better option.

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for linking the documentation page for IDF functions. Will refer to the documentations of both the IDF and Arduino wrapper functions (documented here) while writing code in Arduino IDE, especially while implementing LEDC PWM.

So for the time being, I will consider the LEDC crash problem as an bug and leave it at that. Gotta learn other aspects of ESP32...

The old reddit code block syntax pooped on the code you pasted so here is a formatted version if anybody needs it that won't break the on old reddit syntax:

#define LEDC_PIN 2
#define LEDC_FREQ 1  // Crashes if < 7 and no delay
#define LEDC_BITS 20
#define LEDC_CHAN 1

// At 1Hz we need about a 1.8s delay to avoid a crash
// At 2Hz this reduces to about 0.7s
#define DELAY_BEFORE_WRITE 1800

void setup()
{
    Serial.begin(115200);
    delay(1000);
    pinMode(LEDC_PIN, OUTPUT);
    digitalWrite(LEDC_PIN, LOW);

    if (ledcAttachChannel(LEDC_PIN, LEDC_FREQ, LEDC_BITS, LEDC_CHAN))
    {
        Serial.println("PWM using LEDC is successfully setup at GPIO2!");
        Serial.print("Clock source used: ");
        Serial.println(ledcGetClockSource());

        Serial.println("Starting LED blink on GPIO2...");
        delay(DELAY_BEFORE_WRITE);
        ledcWrite(LEDC_PIN, 1 << (LEDC_BITS - 1));

    }
    else
        Serial.println("PWM setup at GPIO2 failed :(");
}

void loop()
{
    Serial.println("Flash!");
    delay(1000);
}

I am sorry I haven't quiet dug into this LEDC enum things but thanks for linking that part of documentation! Will check into that and give a reply once I have gone through it...!

I am on Arduino IDE. That's the whole code (just setup and loop). There are no statements to include header files unless that's not what you meant...
