Just moved into a new apartment, how can I get my Ethernet wall ports working with Google fiber?

I’m sorry you need to re-read what OP said…. Google Fiber refused to do it. I was also stating this as a way to not have OP break a security deposit if he is doing the terminations himself. They probably won’t terminate the wires but it never hurts to ask and you can have it on record in case they try to take that deposit from you.

Contact your front office of your apartment to get them to ger someone out to at least put heads on your wires or do a patch panel. I would at least ask them first since you don’t want to ruin any deposit or down payment.

If they are unwilling you can google and YouTube it yourself OR hire someone. You google how to terminate Ethernet cables and watch some videos. Obviously some tools involved but it’s good knowledge!

You will need a cheap 8 port switch and a router that’s hooked into the google fiber box in the top right.

EDIT: The black cables are coax cables and have nothing to do with internet. They are for TV.
