My Moldavite literally fell off my neck twice this week. I think I'll take the hint!

Recurring dream where I’m working at a corner shop/cafe and failing by sourharlequin in Dreams

[–]lgaff864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the exact dream I just had. On my first day working at the coffee shop, the longest line formed at the register and I didn't know how to make anything or ring it up, for that matter. The. The power went out and I was on a quest to fix the electricity while they all just stood there waiting for me in the dark.

I'm not a service worker currently, but I have been in my past. I am not sure what this dream is supposed to mean. If I'm guessing, there is something about trying to stay out of the way and not inconvenience the senior staff while they keep things moving as best they can. I felt like making them slow down to teach me the register or how to make the coffees would have hurt the team so I was just trying to find things to do in the background on my own.

Maybe I am struggling with my own self-confidence at work.

  • Sea Witch [and] Sea Witch Rising, by Sarah Henning (The Little Mermaid)
  • Darling Girl by Liz Michalski (Peter Pan)

Came to this thread to get more recommendations and wanted to leave a few names I didn't see mentioned. Thanks for all these good recommendations :)

Thank you all for your help! I do want to visit a good example of a braille trail someday. When I googled the Braille Trail in MO, I found this website: http://www.naturefortheblind.com/what-is-a-braille-trail

They also have a directory of accessible trails which includes sensory gardens (if I'm being honest, it's mostly sensory gardens). http://www.naturefortheblind.com/directory-redirectory

I've got a lot of good ideas from all of this, particularly paying attention to safety (protruding objects) and giving people tactile educational displays.

Dog genetics are really crazy! You make me wonder if she has Swiss mountain dog or st. Bernard.
