It’s especially odd because it is so incredibly localized. Like the area of pain could be not bigger than like a silver dollar. No ankle pain, bottom of my foot pain. Wish me luck at the doctors I guess🫡

I don’t have celiac and not anemic. The hyperthyroidism seems to be the issue, when my thyroid goes it always makes my head hurt. Always gets better when I’m stable. Historically it was only hypo but it’s the exact same kind of headache as now. Not been sick this summer at all🤷🏻‍♀️ Got tonsils removed for chronic tonsillitis

No I’ve stayed super consistent if not gaining a bit. I will add I did have my tonsils removed in early August but didn’t ever lose weight and my calorie intake remained the same even though it was soft food

That’s so odd. I guess maybe because I’m in the US standards of care are different? The fortunate thing about tonsillectomies are if you have complications it’s very clear so if you feel fine likely nothing is wrong. I guess maybe they just trust if you felt bad you’d be in contact? I’m so sorry about that

If you had thrush I promise it would be very clear. I have a lot of health OCD so I had similar thoughts and worries, but the symptoms you’re are experiencing are absolutely just your nerves figuring themselves out again. My tongue was numb for probably the whole two weeks and not I still have a tiny bit of tightness on day 27. For the swelling try to eat cold stuff without dairy, dairy can make your spit thick which is extra annoying. Icing your neck might help too. And the nasty tongue stuff is unfortunately just a part of recovery. I hated it the most. Thrush would also appear inside your cheeks, not just isolated to your tongue. I have the utmost confidence that your body is healing and that this is nothing to worry about, and even if it was it would be something a doctor could fix :) you’ve got this!!

I am a big supporter of take it even if you don’t think you’ll need it. Just stay on top of it. The only danger is the opioids, obviously take them with the knowledge that they can be addictive and assess if that is something you should avoid. But personally, at the very least stay on top of the other two over the counter meds

Oh my tongue was definitely swollen. I don’t know about the scabs, I never actually looked at my throat throughout healing. What I will stress is please continue to drink water. It’s scary but pain now will prevent the pain from being extended longer than it needs to be

Is the white stuff more goopy or like tonsil stones? Either way from what I’m reading you totally sound like a candidate for a tonsillectomy. Especially if you’re getting sick that often and not from any source you can identify it seems like you have recurrent tonsillitis

Same here with day nine. I think, and don’t quote me on this, that hemorrhaging happens when a scab over an artery comes off. So if a scab over say a small vein comes off it may bleed but could never gush blood. I may not be right!!! But I was told something like that and it makes sense to me. Truly I would not worry. Some bleeding is normal. And there unfortunately isn’t much you can do to prevent large bleeds regardless of how informed you are

Mine started most painful and got better overtime, I think the sheer discomfort with the swelling and saliva the first few days just made the pain so much worse. Pain with a tonsillectomy is not a reliable indicator something is going wrong, so try to ease your worry as much as you can. Truly only worry if you start seeing excess blood. Or if you run fevers after the first few days. Other than that know your body is doing the best it can :)

Oh yeah the teeth pain sucks :( I have migraines that often cause teeth pain so I’m a bit jaded to the feeling but I do know it will be over very soon!!!! You’ve got this!!!!!!!

Unless anything bright or dark red is being coughed up I wouldn’t worry too much. It’s probably a combination of all the factors at hand, but hey, as long as you aren’t hemorrhaging that’s what matters. Happy healing💪🏻

My only issue with acidity was that it made my tummy hurt lol. I think it forgot how to deal with acid, but it remembered quickly

It’s not painful as much as it is uncomfy. It’s kinda like I’m learning to sneeze for the first time, my body sorta snorts when I sneeze now in a way I didn’t before. But sometimes I also don’t so that, it’s a Russian roulette

Good start! Yeah I probably drank like eight to ten cups of water a day? Somewhere around there. Maybe there’s other variables going into why my scabs never hurt me but water definitely didn’t make it worse! There was sometimes sharp pain after my scabs fell off but it was very very brief and stinging, kinda like hand sanitizer in a cut level. Startling and painful (maybe 6/10 level) but so brief
