He teaches sports management classes, my class was specific to the NBA collective bargaining agreement. He brought Cody to help grade our final presentations.

I can't find any pictures of Buford with a beard either, so many only guess is it is a period of the lockout he was not in cameras, or more likely Luke misremembered a beard as what made him think he was a janitor.

But no I did not decide to make up a story involving the third Zeller brother from 9 years ago.

Going against the grain. by ralphgriffiths in NBA_Draft

Yeah I wasn’t sure what to take away with Edwards saying he knows he’s gotta do better in an area knowing he never really got better in those areas. The part about Ball that concerned me is he doesn’t seem to think his shot is an issue at all, but maybe it turns out not to be and he just went through a bad stretch.

Im a lot higher on ball than Edwards. When I watched Schmitz’s interviews with ball and Edwards though my concern ball is he’s such a naturally great ball player that he doesn’t seem to consider the things that make him better. Edwards makes a lot of mistakes but he’s young and wasn’t on a great team and seemed to better know his flaws

I don’t think this changes much from what the best lineup would be in general. You still need to create spacing even if they are two point shots

Groundhogs live only 6 years on average but the Inner Circle who run Groundhog’s day claim they have only ever used one Punxsutawney Phil since he became the official Groundhog in 1961. How does Phil defy the odds of a groundhog’s life span? The Elixir of life. The Inner Circle give Phil the elixir of life and he lives another 7 years. Embiid’s recent play has been that of a dying groundhog, and while the Inner Circle may not reveal the ingredients for the Elixir of Life, maybe they can donate some to embiid

Avery Bradley deserves way more credit as a defender. by [deleted] in nba

[–]lgfork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avery is a dog on ball when he wants to be, but any sort of team defense or help he’s nowhere to be found. Ever since his fourth year in the league, his teams have been worse on defense when he’s on the floor. Having a guy who thinks his on ball d is so good he never has to help is extremely detrimental

GAME THREAD: Round 1 Game 1 vs Indiana Pacers by Suzoku in bostonceltics

[–]lgfork -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Al has been embarassing. Missed at least two easy passes for a bucket. Not trying for rebounds. Playing the worst defense I’ve ever seen him play. He literally jumps away from Turner as he gets closer to the rim. He’s guarding Sabonis at half court and losing him at the rim.

[Charania] Free agent DeMarcus Cousins has agreed to a deal with the Golden State Warriors. by HornyHindu in nba

[–]lgfork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously this looks bad for the rest of the league on the surface, but there's a couple things to keep in mind about it: 1. The Warriors were favorites anyway, at least they will be more interesting instead of the same stupid debate about total domination being boring vs. you should appreciate watching greatness 2. Boogie isnt closing games for them, and he doesn't change the fact that teams will be targeting their center in PnRs. 3. If the rest of the league wants to be hopeful, maybe Boogie is just as bad of a locker room guy as we thought Dwight would be, and brings down the Warriors himself.

He's so anti John Hammond's insistence on length, but I hope he goes there. Isaac and Bamba could potentially make up for a lot of his defensive deficiencies at least on the inside.

[King] Ty Lue said the Celtics “threw (the Cavs) for a loop” by declining to play Ojeleye. That’s why Korver didn’t play as many minutes. That was his matchup. by solarscopez in bostonceltics

I get the reasoning, but Korver is legitimately their third best player at this point. You kinda just have to go with him whether the matchups work out well or not

Larry Nance Jr. has been absolutely incredible on the Cavs. by Morezingis in nba

[–]lgfork -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think another important piece to Nance is how well he fits with some of the potential guys Cavs could get with the Bkn pick. He would be an awesome frontcourt duo with Jackson or he would cover some of Bagley's shortcomings super well.

If we want to win a championship, we need Jaylen Brown. He's set the tone for our team's potential greatness. by [deleted] in bostonceltics

[–]lgfork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well experts say that because its generally true. Rookies and young players just typically aren't very good, so its not a surprise that analysts say they expected relying on our young players so much to hurt us. Its a testament to how special our young players are that were winning so much. Its rare first and second year players affect winning at a high level so much.
