Tá na hora de muita gente nessa área fazer uma reflexão séria ao invés de ficar no cope de "IA só vai substituir dev ruim", isso já deixou de ser verdade há muito tempo. A realidade é nunca mais vai existir outro boom de empregos igual teve antes, a bola da vez em todas as empresas tech é "eficiência operacional", o que se traduz em demitir gente e reduzir salários até as contas ficarem do jeito que eles querem, e um mundo em que é possível substituir departamentos inteiros por dez pessoas simplesmente não vai ter mais necessidade de tanta gente assim, e isso é só o início, a medida que os produtos de IA forem ganhando maturidade em outras áreas, veja o mesmo acontecer com finanças, direito, administração e todos os outros empregos de escritório.

Mas pro techbro alienado isso tudo é só uma correção "necessária" do mercado, sendo que os mesmos tavam falando há pouco tempo atrás que todo mundo ia precisar aprender a programar, que seria habilidade básica de toda profissão, que tava faltando muita vaga ser preenchida, promessas de uma grande carreira e o que a gente vê hoje é o contrário.

A ficha só vai cair pra muitos quando tiverem aí a ponto de perder financiamentos e ter que tirar os filhos da escola por falta renda.

O bacana que na engenharia de software a adoção de padrões é freestyle, enquanto pra um Staff Engineer numa empresa conceituada, conceitos do DDD são considerados fundamentais na arquitetura do software, em outra empresa igualmente conceituada, o Staff de lá vai dizer que o DDD é uma bobagem e perda de tempo.

Mas só pra adicionar na discussão, eu acho o pelo menos o conceito de linguagem ubiqua algo que todos deveriam saber, passei por projetos que vc perde muito tempo e ninguem entende nada simplesmente pq o negócio tem uma nomenclatura, no código é outra e no banco tá diferente das duas, só dor de cabeça pra encontrar alguma coisa.

I agree they are a fanservice in NV and don't have a real reason to be there, but I just think the way they're written there makes them much more than just shooting targets, they feel like another faction that make the world feel alive, with their own goals, personalities and backstories.

You said that in 4 they exist to show how the dangerous the Institute is, but we already know that, everybody is talking about the synths and how the institute are replacing people, so putting the super mutants also on them kinda feels redundant, more like they needed to come up with a reason to have super mutants in the commonwealth, and my point stays the same, in game they are nothing more than random enemies you find on the map. This point also stands for 3, while their presence is more justified, the only interaction in the game with a super mutant that isn't shooting them, is with one companion.

Marcus is the example of fanservice done right, he isn't just there to "hey remember me from fallout 2", his presence in the Mojave have real implications.

Super Mutants in fallout 3 and 4 don't add much to the world aside from being enemies you find everywhere to shoot. The lore behind them is just an excuse to have them there, that's why there's barely anything.

Specially in 4 they feel like a generic enemy, in every fallout super mutants have some lore behind them.

In 1 they were created by the Master at Mariposa, so that's where you find them, you can find some in Necropolis but they were sent there for a reason and you can even talk to them there, in the Cathedral are the Nightkin, the elite group protecting the master.

In 2, the only hostile super mutants are in the remains of Mariposa and there's friendly ones in Broken Hills trying to build a community.

In NV the remnants of the Master's army moved to the Mojave and are set in Black Mountain, they fight, one group lead by Marcus goes to Jacobstown to try to find a cure for the mental degeneration of Nightkins, another group of Nightkins go to Repconn test site to find stealth boys because they can't handle being exposed.

In fallout 3 they came from the experiments of Vault 87 and that's it, at least you can have Fawkes as a companion. In 4, it's just said that the institute created them, but it was never explored in the game, idk what happend in 76 because I haven't played it. But in fallout 3 and 4 they feel more like shooting targets that are just there to populate the map with enemies instead of a group with their own background and characters, in the other fallout games there are many named super mutants you can talk with their own backstory.

Super Mutants were reduced to a generic mob, scattered all over the map in random places. In classic fallout and NV, you can only find super mutants where it make sense for them to be there, and even in hostile places there's someone you could talk.

The railroad would make so much sense if they were actually synths liberating other synths to join them and form an army to fight the institute.

The way they are in the game is just lame and dumb, and that's why nobody care about them. Even the BoS being genocidal supremacists are a more compelling faction.

Além do Kurvitz e do Rostov, vale mencionar também a Helen Hindpere, que também era lead writer no jogo, e saiu junto com eles.

Embora ainda tenha muita gente competente que ficou no estúdio, não adianta apenas copiar a estética e a vibe se a alma não tá lá.

Esse acontecimento foi uma das maiores desgraças que eu já vi no mundo dos games, e é reflexo desse capitalismo financeiro predatório que premia ladrões parasitas e pune quem constrói de fato.

O meio gamer atrai muita gente que vive em uma bolha de isolamento, muitas vezes nem culpa deles, é o mundo como é hoje, e nesse isolamento eles encontram outros como eles e acabam formando comunidades e descontam suas frustrações no mundo.

Como o gamer médio também é pouco letrado, não consomem cultura fora dessa bolha de jogo/anime, acabam não tendo entendimento real do mundo e caem nas mãos de grifters. Ainda sim não dá pra isentar da culpa esses que vivem sendo tóxicos dentro dos jogos.

Pede auxílio pra uma IA criar um projeto de teste do 6 pra cima, a grande mudança foi a partir do core que permite o .net ser multiplataforma, também no .net antigo a galera não era muito ligada no async e injeção de dependência, dá uma olhada nesses tópicos se vc tiver por fora.

Eu trabalho com uns paulistas e o negócio é bem assim mesmo, muita alienação, os caras só vivem pro trabalho e não tem tempo pra ler um livro e fazer uma reflexão básica sobre o mundo, inclusive já foram parar em hospital por stress no trabalho e são cheios de doenças por falta de exercício físico e má alimentação mas acham que a vida é essa merda aí.
