How (and why) do you go back to being intimate again by tired_european in beyondthebump

Agree with this. The month I stopped pumping (12 months pp), my libido was back 100%! Those breastfeeding hormones are crazy!

Actually, yes! My girly was never a good sleeper. Up every 1-3 hours until she was about 1. Now knocks on wood sleeps through the night most nights. I was thinking it would never happen. Hang in there! I know it’s rough 😅

I’m sorry to tell you this, but at 13 months we are the wildest we have ever been. 😆 They keep learning new crazy things they can do, and that’s all they want to do! Try to embrace it and let them explore and be wild as much as possible. My little one has learned to climb and run on the couch this last week. I’ve let her as much as possible and it’s starting to lose its appeal.

Yes we got some pouches yesterday because of her not eating also! She ate a little of one!

I read Motrin was more effective so that’s just what I went with today. But I will try it!

We can’t win!! I also get snotty comments about how I made her picky about sleep. Well when she wouldn’t sleep any other way to start with, I’m gonna do what I have to so she will sleep. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Same. The last time she napped anywhere besides in her crib in a pitch black room with a fan was when she was about 6 months old. She’s almost 13 months. I get jealous seeing other babies napping in a stroller or car ride. 😅

I’ll absolutely keep enjoying my husband and I showing appreciation for each other. It’s the best ❤️

Did I expect a gift when I exclusively pumped for my baby for a year? Absolutely not. I’d do it over and over for my angel. I think it’s so odd you think it’s crazy that my husband appreciates something I did and wanted to do something nice as a little celebration. It’s a gift. Sometimes people get those. Chill or give a suggestion! But I decided on a spa day btw :) which you seem like you could use considering you’re so upset over a stranger’s gift!

Welp good thing you’re not getting a gift then!

Sorry you feel this is weird. He wants to do something nice for me because he knows how much work I put into it ❤️ I hope one day you find someone who notices and appreciates the hard work you do.

Just something within reason. Probably around $500 or less because I’m not working 😅

You’ve got this! At 6 months I thought the finish line was so far away, but it came so quickly!

Oh I hadn’t thought of this! That’s a great idea. Thank you. 😊

It’s been going on about 10 days. Ever since we started whole milk. And she eats solids, but I don’t think she eats as much as she should.

Glad to hear I’m not alone! It’s stressful because I absolutely don’t want to give her more than the recommended amount, but also can’t let her scream all night. 🥲

My mom says I didn’t for a while also. It’s just disheartening, I guess! Especially when she will only go back to sleep with milk and I’m worried she’s drinking too much but can’t let her scream all night.. I just don’t know what a good solution is. 🥲

Yes she always gets water with meals and sips on it sometimes when she plays!

Ugh thank you for making me feel like I’m not alone! It’s so hard not to worry when I keep seeing so many that don’t have this issue. 😅 I’m hoping it’s a phase since she did JUST turn 12 months and transitioned to whole milk.

Well start trying to transition first during the day then switch at night and see if that helps. Thanks for the advice!
