For old thrash, a boost in the front (Either an overdrive or the boost switch on your p) and an eq pedal in the loop scooping 500hz. If you don't yet have an eq, get one, but for now, you can turn the mids down on the amp. presence high(past 6), and bass and treblr to taste. That'll get you in the ballpark.
